$100 is too high for a shabby room in a shabby town. No breakfast offered. Not even any coffee. They said they stopped offering coffee because of Covid. Every hotel in the country has coffee somewhere at least in the lobby. The room was clean enough with no sign of bugs but old and rundown from lack of care. Bed sheets less than mediocre. Found pubes on the blankets. Brown slobber stains on the pillows. When we entered the room it was 58 degrees. Cranked the thermostat up to 90 and it took several hours for the room to reach 68 degrees. This place is lame but I’ve seen much worse.

It wouldn’t have been too bad if the people next to us didn’t keep us up half the night. Put the ”party” people next to someone other than us old people who traveled all day who just wanted to sleep.

We stopped at Calais Motor Inn over night while traveling through the area. The parking lot was spacious and well lit. We stayed in room #212 which had two double beds. The room was clean, quiet and warm seeing as the temperature was in the single digits outside. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful while discussing area businesses. The restaurant was being remodeled so we ate in the pub. The food was delicious, especially the boneless chicken which came in a variety of dipping sauces. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The. Motor Inn is located a short distance from several shopping areas and restaurants. We would recommend Calais Motor Inn to our family and friends.......

Rust stained tub, water stained carpeting, toilet seat all chipped and sink, and pub downstairs was smelly and food was over cooked and not made right. High prices for lousy food.

Stayed here almost a year ago and never left my glowing review of this amazing place! Spent a week here while it was -15 out and had the most wonderful week in this town! The front was kind and hilarious, pub downstairs was some of the best food I ever had! We already are talking about when to come back again!

This should be your lodging of last resort. We spent a night there because everything else was full. DO check the room before you book it. The first room we were shown had disgusting dirty mattresses, the tv didn't work, and the AC unit was loose and appeared that it could be pushed right through the hole in the wall, we were afraid of someone easily breaking in. Plus outdoor air was gushing in. Tub was stained and unsightly. Linens extremely worn. Advertised "restaurant" was a smokey bar. The next day we traveled south and found the Talbot Inn bed & breakfast in East Machias, sparkly clean, friendly hosts, for LESS money and an incredible breakfast included! My advice is to keep driving!

Needed a quick stop for some sleep. Great hospitality. Kindest people and the friendliest greeter this am before checkout.
