First time here. Locals but decided to branch out to a new beach. Nice sandy beach sprinkled with perfectly smoothed rocks. The only downfall was the red seaweed which my kids were covered in. No big deal but the showers were not working to clean them off so we spent 30 mins rinsing with buckets of water. Kids had a great time and parents loved relaxing in the borrowed beach chairs (thanks LLBean!)Restrooms: There were shower stalls but no water

Beautiful Maine beach and State Park. Very clean and good waves. Beware that the tide does come in pretty high at times, which forces people off the beach. Also dogs are not allowed.

Huge and very calm beach. Utmost security (you can leave your stuff on the beach nobody will touch it - very surprising for European standards !). Parking very easy since it’s a State park. Apart from the beach, nice and quite trails. Very suitable for families, groups of friends, kids and even on one’s own.

We got the state park pass so go there many evenings for a quiet end of the day. Fairly clean and well maintained with loaner chairs and other beach items. Large bathroom facilities are nice as well.

Awesome place to go by yourself or with friends/family. Very low key and quiet, the view is beautiful, and the best part is that there is a shower and restroom for the public. Llbean is kind enough to provide free chairs, beach toys, books, and small entertainment like beach balls for you to borrow. Make sure to put them back yourself!Do remember to bring your own food, and there's a bbq grill there ( first come first serve) and there is an entry fee. Please keep in mind that it would be put to good use like maintaining the cleanliness of the park. Plenty of parking for everyone, and there's a police patrol car that circles around to keep everything in order.Be warned that there's a lot of seaweed and ocean debris but does not ruin the experience or relaxation for you. Also there are no pets allowed, just something to keep in mind.

I love this beach. I love the hiking trails and the beauty that nature provides. However, I do not like the new LL Bean billboards. They're supposed to be promoting art from the Museum of Art. They do not belong in this park. Nothing against the pictures themselves they just don't belong on billboards at the beach. These are nothing but advertisements for LL Bean and they need to be removed

Peaceful quiet State Park. Lately lots of seaweed in the surf, and generally small or minimal waves compared to beaches a bit further south. Used to have a snack shack with great fried food and burgers but that closed. It's the closest beach to us and we especially loved to go when the kids were younger. There is a rock formation at the south end where tidepools await to look for snails and crabs. There used to be more treasures to be seen in the tide line on the sand, but there is less in recent years.

Our favorite beach. Walk over to the rocks and up over the hill to another rocky beach with dark red sand, great for exploring.

Really pretty and nice beach! For a small fee of $8, for out of state residents, you can enjoy the beach. There were nice restrooms, and there were even free beach chairs and umbrellas provided by LL bean! We will definitely be returning.
