“We picked up some things while in the area. This store had everywhere needed. It was clean and well stocked.We did not know the area and required a map program to navigate our way to and from due to the unusual traffic pattern.”
“Such a refreshing pharmacy experience! My GI works through them regularly to get more expensive medications since they’re so good with insurance claims and authorizations. They even found a manufacturer coupon so I haven’t paid a single dime out of pocket for any of the 3 courses of my medication I’ve received from them! Despite being in Maine, I receive my medication in Chicago within 2 days. I’ve never had any issues with their customer service and it’s wonderful not having to wait on hold for 30+ minutes to speak to someone versus the retail pharmacies near me. Can’t recommend using their service enough!”
“My company uses Hannaford Brothers for a lot of outings. We do all kinds of things outdoors in Maine and we buy the deli meats from Hanford. I just want to say that the deli at the Scarborough Maine location is amazing. In particular an employee by the name of Kris has been very helpful and always kind and her customer service is excellent. She knows the products behind the counter and introduces me to new products all the time. (Cooper cheeses). She gets the five stars.”

“I ordered a cake from the bakery for my mothers birthday, I was supposed to pick it up tomorrow but I called an it turned out she had done the cake today, an I was able to pick it up early. When I got there she must've just left, but someone in the deli was happy to grab it for us.
Now when I ordered the cake I just did it through the online, customized order, I put in we'd like flowers and a hummingbird.
Now it's Hannaford right? I didn't have high expectations whatsoever but let me tell you when I say I'm impressed with how this cake came out, that would be an understatement, it's beautiful and my mom, she absolutely loves it 10x more than I do

“Based on the recommendation of a local, we stopped to grab some lobster from the seafood section that they steamed up for us. It took 20 minutes to get seven lobsters done. They do not provide drawn butter or steam up corn or anything else, but this was helpful nonetheless.”
“Their pharmacists know their stuff (as you would expect), and are surprisingly accessible to talk about medicine, side effects, and other related concerns. Each member of the staff seems eminently knowledgeable about their products, not just where the products are on the shelves. They're a compounding pharmacy, making them a great resource for any medications that need to be mixed or otherwise custom made.”

“I had never been to this pharmacy before, and only picked it because my daughter needed antibiotics and it was open until 8 PM while our regular pharmacy was closed. Honestly, my expectations were low for a grocery store pharmacy downtown.
Instead, the efficient staff handled our very complicated set of prescriptions (ear drops, two different antibiotics, an inhaler and more) efficiently - working directly with Urgent Care to find an acceptable alternative to one of the meds they were out of.
Importantly, they did all of this even though it was five minutes from their closing time. Not only were they not put out by the timing, they couldn't have been kinder or more sympathetic. They even sent us on our way with extra syringes to handle the different antibiotic doses.
In an era when service at many pharmacies has slipped dramatically, this one stood out in a big way. 100% will patronize them again, and can't thank them enough.”

“My husband and I have both had not ideal experiences with pharmacies in the past but the staff here is always so respectful. Specifically Truman, he is the man. He puts the T in Trust. He has advocated for us when we have needed assistance with insurance issues without judgement only encouragement and extremely helpful information. We moved farther away from the pharmacy but still make the trip to this location because we know we will be given top notch service. 10/10 for Truman and the staff.”

“EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION: HunterHunter is absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond for me, more than anyone ever has, in answering my questions about Walgreens Cash, online orders, bag fees (charged $0.20 when I did not request or use any bags at all!), product stock, receipts not printing (only getting digital receipts!). And so many other things. He helped me place pickup orders for a product I was trying to buy where there was only 1 in stock at every Walgreens in the area, even though the sales required purchasing at least 4 in one transaction. Hunter gave me such stellar customer service, I never want to shop at a different Walgreens. He was so sweet, friendly, kind, ENDLESSLY PATIENT, and super professional. Please give this man a raise!!! He deserves it for all he puts up with, and he does this always with a smile and a sense of humor. “I highly recommend them I have epilepsy and when other pharmacies including wal mart Walgreens and cvs all couldn’t get my med from the manufacturer so they say Maine med pharmacy came through when I had no other choices and they say they have and can get more than enough”

“Really impressed with this Hannaford. As a Portland area person, of course my first thought of Hannaford is Forest Ave - but since my office moved over to Riverside, I've frequented this Hannaford quite a bit. Sure, their selection is smaller - like, a lot smaller - than Forest Ave, but what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. The folks at the deli are fabulous, and through all this virus craziness, they've been very clearly diligent about cleaning/sanitizing/ensuring their customers feel they are doing their due diligence. I went through a checkout the other day and the cashier was great - switched gloves between customers, used sanitizer - she was friendly and gracious when I apologized I even had to be there to get anything!! They've got a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and produce - what else do you need?! They also have a great selection of Amy's organic frozen meals, which is my go-to. Really fab location.”

“I cannot believe people give 1 star for needing a damn restroom. Seriously, I'm sure the type is called the paying customer...right. Honestly I gave 4 stars here because the items I use like to show up and suddenly disappear. Also, there's not much reasonably priced (at every location). Though the store clerks here are never very happy and some are apparently looking for a girlfriend, the pharmacy is not like this and they are professionals. I give the people at the pharmacy dept. 5 stars. The male pharmacist is extremely helpful and the young lady, Marlene, who is a pharmacist technician is most helpful, too. She and the other guy, (who wears the awesome shoes, perhaps Nick?) go out of their way to make things right. All with wonderful attitudes. All of these people at the pharmacy are amazing and they exceed in giving a satisfying experience from good customer service they provide. As far as shopping here, I am not a fan. Trader Joe's has better options for much of what is offered here and it's right next door. Not a great location for a Walgreen's is my opinion. Prices are high and there isn't much for folks who are vegan nor for those who like to shop conscious, green and ethical.”

“When one of my buddies wasn't feeling well while we were in Portland, I made a trip to this Walgreens to get Advil, water, candy and nuts...only the essentials, naturally. The store was clean, well-lit and well-stocked. Prices were reasonable and checkout was fairly quick. There's a parking lot here as well, which is nice because parking in downtown Portland is at a premium! If you have drugstore needs, this is your place.”

“The CVS pharmacy at Pond Cove in Cape. Elizabeth did an incredible job rushing prescriptions through for me on two different days surrounding the Christmas holiday. Both scripts were received by the pharmacy within a couple of hours of closing time. I really appreciate the extra effort that they extended on my behalf so that I received my medication on the day it was ordered. Thank you!
