Elmer's Country Store is a handy place with a small country store atmosphere, often described as an oasis. It provides food, gasoline—usually cheaper than others—and a full tank of gas, making it a good place to stop for a rest. The ambience is genuinely always amazing, with a clean store. The customer service is top notch, spectacular, and the highlight. The cashiers and staff are always friendly, positive, and kind, which is hard to come by now. However, service can sometimes be a little slow as they are often swamped. The food receives mixed reviews. Some items, like the pizza and hot chicken and honey biscuits, are pretty good and highly recommended. But other items, like the steak and cheese sub, pastrami, haddock burger, and beer battered fries, are often found to be mediocre, bland, cold, crunchy, or sorely lacking. Prices are a little higher than average.
