The most crooked and corrupt Internet Service Provider I have ever experienced in my life. Constantly trying to add charges out of nowhere, lying to us and overcharging us for horrific service.My wife and I were paying $100-125 a month for 40mb. That's right, 40! The internet was so weak that only 1 person could have their phone connected at a time and if someone was on netflix or had their computer turned on nobody else could be on.To make things even worse, after dealing with the terrible customer service and the borderline fraudulent (in my opinion) price changes and false charges we have a new problem.A new ISP finally moved into my area and we immediately switched over. We cancelled service October 14th at 4pm.They are now trying to force us to pay $100+ dollars for November and December. I am dealing with that issue now.The customer service stone walled me and tried to make it difficult for me to return their router. I presume so they could charge me but I do not know.Yesterday they had a technician at my neighbors house so I wrapped up the router, secured it and walked it over. I recorded myself doing so and gave them the router and explained the situation.Now today I am dealing with them still as they desperately try and force me to pay for 2 months when I never even had service and they are trying to claim the router wasn't returned.I am on call 7 now over this. Stay away from this company if you can.Do you live somewhere that is isolated (like me) and TDS is the only service? Talk to your town selectman and or mayor. Talk often, call other ISP's (spectrum trust me) and ask them what steps need to happen to get them in your area.Be safe out there, record every single phone call you have with TDS and save every email. They will try every trick in the book to take your money while providing you little to nothing.

My dad passed away in April. We tried to cancel his TDS service but TDS needed his death certificate to cancel. They wouldn't allow us to email it and said they never received it when we snail mailed it. TDS let the service run for 4 months and then disconnected it and sent the account to collections. The only reason we found out was because i wanted to port over his phone number to a cell phone. I paid the $400 that they charged to a dead man and asked them to port over the number. The representative said that the account had to be reconnected before they could port the number over to my new provider. They couldn't just reactivate the account, they had to come out to the house to reconnect it. So I take off work for the appointment. Guess what, they no call no show. Turns out they could just reactivate the account. The service technician said they didn't need to go to the property an hour after their show window. So another $150 in lost wages. TDS Telecom are thieves and will steal from the dead.

Been a few outage problems with internet and phone lately from TDS. But it didn't start until "SPECTRUM", "CHARTER COMM", was stringing their rip off expensive fiber optic cable on the same poles.

TDS is the only game in the town Exeter. They jacked up our bill to 125.00 per month and will not reduce it even though they offer much cheaper plans to new service. That amount is for INTERNET only. When the network is busy our signal goes up and down constantly. Poor service at ridiculous price! Hostages...

This company is a joke. They took a week to set up an install date neglecting inform me of information they needed from me before they would come out. Then the day comes I called in the AM and asked what time to expect them they told me 1-3 then 3 rolls around and no one has come so I call. They tell me they aren’t coming because I didn’t get them the “residency proof” they needed. That they never told me about. Then I send what they tell me to and I set up a new appointment (a whole 10 days after they were supposed to be here) making it a month since I ordered the service. Then after I set up the appointment they call me the next day saying they aren’t going to accept the proof of residency I sent that they REQUESTED SPECIFICALLY. All of this because someone used out address before we put our house out there and didn’t pay the bill. D**** And they’re the only company who will come out to my house. It’s ridiculous.

I ordered fiber internet 4 most ago. After 1.5 weeks I received a call they said they didn't have the ability to provide me service at this time and it would be an additional 2 most b4 I could get it. I was upset and told them to cancel it. I thought about it for a couple days and then told them to go ahead and put me down for the wait list. So one Nov. 23rd 2020 I was to get it hooked up between 8-10am. So at 10am no call no show. I call them and waited on hold for 41 minutes. The agent answered and I explained my situation. He said im sorry Michael we tried to call you on Friday to let you know that we still can't hook it up. Anyone who knows me knows my phone is always in hand. No call and no voice-mail. He said that it would be 2 more months b4 they would be able to hook it up. I exploded. I took time off from work if they knew they couldn't hook it up whey schedule it ever. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me it wouldn't be till March b4 they might be able to hook it up. I spoke too a total of 5 reps and all gave different answer's. They offered a solution a 100.00 credit and would call when they could hook me up. This by fare was the worst service I have ever experienced. Happy Thanksgiving all

The customer service agent that I spoke with was very rude. His mic kept cutting in/out and was difficult to understand. I asked him if I could speak with a supervisor, he raised his voice. All I wanted was to confirm the payment information on my account. He placed me on what was to be a 5min hold time, which turned into a 45min hold time

Only reason we still have TDS is because its the only company that offers internet connection in our area but if you are expecting it to work most of the time good luck. It only works about half the time and when it is working it's spotty

Its nice having a provider right in town for service calls but even having the “boosted” wifi package that we should supposedly be downloading with more MBPS, Im typically in the KBPS...

They don't care about their existing customers. Since they are the only internet provider in my area they jack up prices to insane amounts and treat customers poorly. We need internet for work and school so we have to put up with it.
