“I have not yet stayed at this hotel, but I can, in clear conscience, leave a review. I have relatives who stayed at the hotel while celebrating a milestone birthday. David at the front desk was a huge help arranging for a bottle of champagne to be waiting in their fridge when they checked in. His kindness and patience were much appreciated. Helpful customer service can be a rarity these days, but the Bangor Residence Inn is first rate!”
“A wonderful blend of quaint meets opulence. The house possesses a lovely charm and the service is excellent. Roomy rooms and plenty of amenities and extras to help make your stay quite enjoyable. We highly recommend The Tarratine Inn!”
“The room was stunning, with beautiful furniture hand crafted i assume creating a log cabin theme with rocking chairs that feel very sturdy, mind you im a big guy, and a jet tub that I promise you has scolding hot water for those of you who are accustomed to hot tempatures(it has cold too for you polar plunge brave souls). It features a living room in suite 201 with the 2 rocking chairs, a couch, coffee table, and tv stand all hand crafted log cabin themed furnature. It has a feather top bed for the most comfortable and stress relieving sleep I have had in a long time. Breakfast hours run until 10 am and it is all good quality healthy food and breakfast options are various. The staff have been so sweet to us and even left a basket of essentials for my fiance who is on her cycle including pads, Tylenol, ibuprophen, and more. The view is beautiful out the window showcasing the city and I can even see the black bear cinima down the street which I love to go to aswell. You control the tempature with 2 A/C /HEATERS for comfortability. Oh and they have coffee and hot cocoa with different syrups and creamer :D I love this place they have made my stay worth it. Oh and they are cheaper than most in town too!”
“Stayed there for a week during August, 2016 when moving back to Maine six years ago, after spending a previous week at the Ranger Inn, also of Bangor, Maine, while searching for an apartment at the height of the tourist season when most all Maine hotels raised their prices, and often had no vacancies. The Ranger Inn was OK, for the price, but the Riverview at similar prices, was a bit nicer, had less trashy renters, and a great view of the river from the hotel porch decks, which had outdoor furniture.Great for enjoying a few beers, light music, and small talk, from a nice outdoor front porch with a scenic view.Sadly, the Riverview had no WI-FI internet which the Ranger Inn had, which was essential for apartment hunting.Internet had to be used at Applebee's as a patron, or the Bangor, Eagles Lodge, or the Bangor VFW.Yes, worth the price, but rooms were first come, first served, as long as vacancies lasted, with NO reservations. The Managers/Staff were great people. Very helpful.”

“What an enjoyable place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. Historic hotel with large rooms and an excellent restaurant. Views are pretty awesome as well!”
