Great food and friendly service in a homey atmosphere. The Easter brunch 2024 was excellent especially the baked haddock and fresh veggies including carrots and peas.

We always dine takeaway so we can't really comment on the service aside from our limited interaction. When we go in, the place is usually fairly busy and seems to be well kept. Getting our takeaway order isn't a pain, sometimes I got to wait due to the mob of people trying to get seated. We've had a couple orders messed up recently, missing slice of pie or something like that, so we check the orders now before leaving. The vast majority of our orders weren't missing anything. The food and pies are good. Their hot honey chicken is very good. We've had a number of their desserts, usually take's us an extra day to finish a slice of pie as they are generous. Their eclairs were so big I had to try them. Not much to complain about, we will come back.

Extensive menu selection with decent size flavorful portions; interior decor on walls tastefully done with outdoor theme; basic seating; great pastries; definitely worth stopping by when in Ellsworth.

Giving 3 stars for the clams which were delicious. Unfortunately the lobster in the Lobster roll was tough and overcooked. We also ordered the seafood platter with broiled haddock, sautéed shrimp and scallops which were all bland and unseasoned. The shrimp were shocking small, smaller than a tiny salad shrimp. Over priced for the portion size.

Kept seeing photos of the blueberry pie and it looked buss but it's just not. I didn't sit in and have a whole meal/wasnt served. The ambiance was nice.

It was a nice place with good pie and a fun atmosphere but the food was pretty meh all around. Also was pretty expensive for what it was.

We’re so glad we stumbled upon Helen’s for a late lunch while we were in Ellsworth after a hike in Schoodic Point. The atmosphere is great - clean and simple but with all the antique touches and tall ceilings. Our server was the best, wish I could remember her name. The rolls were delicious. Lobster stew hit our craving for lobster and was a meal in itself. Large menu with lots to chose from. Highly recommend!

Good hometown cooking after lots of travel and on the road snacks. I ordered the tuna melt and wish it were warmer, the onions were were plentiful and but more like shoe string rings (see photo). It was a nice dinner, service was great and fast. I would go again and try something different.

It looks like a lovely place, but the food is bland and disappointing. I ordered broiled haddock, which arrived pale, white, tasteless and probably microwaved.

Expensive with lacking food choices. I walked out without ordering. Trash under tables.
