Great store with a wide variety of health foods. Homemade soaps, perfumes, lotions almost everything you could think of. Amazing selection of herbs in the back. My favorite store in town. I frequent it often.

Great local natural grocery store. Very old school and simple and we liked it. Quality selection had everything we needed for a few nights staying near by.

A very good store for products from Maine. Prices are almost fair, considering the top quality of the wares. The store culture is a big downer. Despite intelligent and kind people like Richard, Daylene, Bill, Billy, and a few others, the culture is negative. Management is lousy. Morale is poor. There's no hospitality here, or focus on sincerely customer service. It's a Top-down problem: the owner is a mean person. A very upset, angry, lost person. A cruel, sick person. Unfortunately, it's a reality in this health food store.

Never been a whale entanglement off the coast of Maine EVER. Yet you guys stop buying for the reason to protect the whales? All your doing is putting a lot of lively hoods at risk over something you know nothing about. I've been a lobsterman longer then you've been a business man and I'll be a lobsterman long after you stop being a business man. I will no longer support your establishment.

I'm a health store fanatic, but one thing that sorely disappoints me is the absolute snootiness of some employees. I've been in John Edwards several times to stock up on some necessities. Most of the time, I have had pleasant experiences with the staff. There have been a couple times where you just know people are judging you and clearly don't want you in the store. I've worked customer service the majority of my life and it's my opinion that folks who work in customer service should at least partially enjoy interacting with the public. Maybe I'm wrong! That's my only beef with this store. Otherwise, it's a great spot to stock up on lovely organic veg, supplements, and dried goods.

Great selection of wines and more. Enjoyed looking at the artwork. Spent a good amount of time talking with the staff member, not sure if he was a manager or owner. Very knowledgeable about wines and the wineries all over Maine. We will go back there again.

In love with this store. Frozen poultry/meat from Pine Tree Poultry is exceptional and they carry high quality brands of so many products. Great stop on the way to MDI to stock up!

This is a combination of a whole foods market and wine cellar gallery, something I don't recall every seeing before. The street-level market has groceries and tons of herbs and spices, baked goods and a coffee bar, and gourmet items. There's a small selection of wine and art is displayed on the walls. The spacious wine cellar has a fantastic selection of wine and is also an art gallery, with paintings and small and large sculptures. It was an interesting experience.

I thoroughly enjoy the selection and quality of John Edward's, but the staff is very rude. I know it's easy to get jaded when working in customer service, but I've had the same judgemental and uncomfortable experience with almost all of the staff members for months now.
