I recently purchased some items from the floor and some from the "scratched and dented department" (a great place to score some deals). Merrill's often has great sales on many items at once. I bought a "Fjords" leather swivel recliner there many years ago that still looks new; I will never part with it. For my recent purchases I worked with Leslie Gray; she is sooo helpful. I normally prefer to browse alone but this place is huge; and so is the wide variety of goods. It was really beneficial and nice to have a design consultant there to guide me. Leslie sized me up in no time and had me looking at the perfect items for my current needs.....this saved me not only money, but a lot of time as well. Kudos to Leslie and Merrill's Furniture. Delivery guys are on time and efficient. Free delivery and set up is a great feature. And open 7 days a week.

Purchased a mattress and box spring with Leslie who was very knowledgeable and helpful. After it was delivered, my wife noticed a manufacturing flaw that I did not (after all, I'm a man!). Mr. Merrill went out of his way to make it right, very impressive. We will continue to do business with Merrill Furniture and their fine employees, from sales to delivery!

I will never do business here again. I bought a sleep sofa August of ‘22. No one slept in it until this summer. I opened it up…it was upside down. We flipped it and there were unidentifiable stains on the mattress and on the mattress cover. When I removed the cover, both sides were discolored, along the entire outside edge. Mr. Merrill suggested my cat might have peed on the couch. That would have been an impossible feat even for my stellar cat.He said he would check with the manufacturer to see if they had ever heard of this happening. What were they to say, yes and lose Merrill’s business? I am offended that he would consider me to be below average intelligence. He suggested I was lying and said “in no way would he replace the mattress for free”. Three days later he called to tell me of the manufacturer’s response of no they had never had this issue and he said he would replace the mattress at cost for $195. I wouldn’t give him play money at this juncture.Be very sure to unwrap your purchases while the delivery people are still at your house. I did not do that and regret it deeply.

Excellent selection of furniture and reasonably priced. Bob was very helpful in getting me set up with all the furniture needs I requested. Excellent staff all are very helpful and professional.

I am so happy with my new bed. Leslie was great - kind and relatable and extremely helpful in choosing my options. The set came in a week before expected, so I got my gift early. The delivery guys were awesome. It feels like Christmas in May. Thank you everybody at Merrrill!

You only matter to them as a customer until you’re out the door and the sale is made. This place will not see any of my future business, I’ll be buying a new house this summer and I’ll furnish with Wayfair, thanks

Leslie, in the Ellsworth Store, could not have been more helpful and kind in helping me get my sofa bed delivered as quickly as possible. Also the two delivery men were careful and friendly. Always love supporting local businesses!

Quality of their kitchen table was very poor. Started peeling after only 3 months. Staff told me to call the manufacturer but that company agreed there was a quality issue but said that Merrill had to manage process (they never did so the manufacturer said they can’t help). All around bad experience.

Review is primarily about the couch we purchased, the business alone might rank higher for me as the staff are friendly and helpful. I’m disappointed that after just 6 months of very minimal use, our couch cushions are unsightly. I could see this starting to happen even after a few uses and contacted the store right away per their satisfaction policy, but was not offered any useful solutions. Because their repair person is not available or overbooked or ??? (It was never entirely clear what the issue was), we were asked to bring the cushions to the store. I chose not to do that as there was no guarantee when we would get them back.We knew it was a gamble to buy a couch at this price point, but based on prior reviews from happy customers, we gave it a go but won’t be doing that again.In summary, I don’t recommend the Hughes Queen Sleeper - especially not for a rental unit where appearance matters!5 stars on delivery / delivery people

While there were ample kitchen sets, beds, sofas & chairs, I really didn't find much of interest to me. I'm looking for bold, unique, modern pieces and not as traditional which they had in abundance.

Just moved to the area. Brought a dining table set. Ordered on Sunday. Delivered that Thursday. We're about a 40 minute drive away so that was great only having a 3 or 4 day wait. Quick in and out for purchasing. Store is setup well. Delivery crew was right on time if not early. Very friendly and professional. Knowledgeable about the setup. They were cleaned up and on their way in about 20 minutes tops was expecting it to take a while longer. Very happy with Merrill furniture. If I'm in the market for any more furniture they will be the first stop for sure.
