One of my all-time favorite campgrounds! The sites are spacious and quiet, and the canoe/kayak rentals are a huge added bonus. This campground is also close to several Maine 4,000 footers, for those working on that hiking list. I'll definitely be back every summer - hoping for a waterfront site next year!

I found the map a little confusing and had a hard time finding the showers.Because the door to the shower is always closed (due to a sign) they were very musty smelling. But they were clean. I was with a big group so we were in a group site across the road. Wish there was at least a water supply there. Loved the beach and loved that there was a " dog beach" I would definitely come again. I'll just be more prepared for no water and flush toilets if I'm with a group.

We camped Labor Day weekend 2023 and were at site 58 with family in nearby sites. This is a great family campground. My kids enjoyed the beach, playground and arcade. The sites are spaced out very well so you aren’t on top of each other. Kids will ride bikes, roller skates, etc all over but it’s still relatively a quiet relaxing atmosphere. About 30 minutes to the Canadian border and access to all kinds of hiking trails. The gas station just outside the campground is also great for anything you might have forgotten. Will be back next year!

Our first time in Maine and I'm glad it was here. Only stayed for two nights and it rained most of the time, but this campground was fantastic. Affordable prices, huge spread out sites on a beautiful lake. Some of the bath houses are definitely a little dated, but the new bathhouse with the dish washing station has individual bathrooms that had a toilet, sink, and shower and were all super clean. A great home base for exploring Flagstaff Lake and the surrounding area. Hope to make the trek back north here again.Nearby activities: An outdoor lovers paradise!

Nice rustic campground with big sites but a very remote location. No TV (cable or broadcast), WiFi, or sewer hookups. Serious campers need only apply.

We stayed only one night but so wish we were able to stay longer. Absolutely beautiful views of Flagstaff Lake Camping sites are large and open amongst the ginormous trees! Fun to bike the campground and we even peddles minutes down to a local food truck called Maturi's Kitchen... yummy food! We had the the fried clams & Caprese samdwich

Cathedral pines is one of the best campgrounds we've stayed at. Spacious sites that are spread out, buildings are well kept and Flagstaff lake offers all the lake activities you would expect. Kayak and canoe rentals are reasonable from the camp office. ATV trail access from campground property (not within the campground however) connects to Maines ATV trail system and offers great trails. The Pines market offered everything we needed for a week + stay which is located right next door, walking or bike distance easily. Not too much bad to say about this place!

I am writing this review from my tent - I’m so impressed by this place! I needed a last-minute reservation and Peter was so helpful and accommodating. It’s so beautiful and they’ve clearly put some thought into the amenities and the campers’ experience. I will be back!
