Took our 3.5 year old in for his FIRST haircut and the stylist took extra time to help him get comfortable (which he was apprehensive at first) and we are very happy with the entire experience. Great first cut and zero complaints overall.

Great experience. Was able to book online a day prior when my daughter finally decided she was ready for her first haircut. 100% recommend Trimmings (and Sarah) for a first haircut, especially if your child is nervous. My daughter’s nerves began to fade as soon as we walked into the kid friendly environment. Sarah’s chit chat and explanations helped with the rest. I appreciate how kind and gentle she was with my child (think preschool teacher) and that we were able to bring home a certificate and lock of hair.

My son had his first haircut today with Nicole and it was such a positive experience! I highly recommend Nicole! We left there today and could not stop talking about my sons adorable haircut all day! Thank you for making it so special for us :)

Incredible salon for kids; they make it fun to get a haircut and are wonderful & super patient with everyone! We get so many compliments on the kids hair cuts regulary.

Sarah got the haircut done. It seems as if your allotted time for the cut is 15 mins. Hold your toddlers hands back when they want to grab the scissors. Let the stylist cut until you know your babe needs to get out of the chair. Kind of what I expected for a first haircut.

Great spot for kids haircuts. They do a good job cutting hair quickly and efficiently for little kids and making them feel great. They offer plenty of toys, a fish tank, and lollipops for the kiddos before and after their appointments. My biggest gripe is that you have to an appointment and the times are right in the middle of the day. I get it's a small business and I am sure finding dependable hairstylists to cut children's hair is tough out there but it would be nice to have earlier/later appointments or Saturday appointments. The hairstylist were very knowledgeable and give great advice and friendly.

I brought my two sons here for the first time today. We live an hour away but decided after a few bad haircuts elsewhere this must be a good option since it’s geared towards children. My younger son got his first haircut which turned out fine (hence the two stars for at least this cut being okay).My older son’s hair was grown out in a long bowl-looking cut from a previous salon. I expressed to Sarah that I liked when the hair in the front comes to a point rather than his bangs being cut straight across. I showed pictures of cuts he has had in the past prior to moving away from our old salon (see pictures with blue hearts). She kind of shrugged me off and said there was no way to get the style I was looking for without putting product in his hair. She also told me they don’t “cut bangs into a point” at their salon. So I guess you’re just guaranteed straight bangs on your son if you go here. We left with basically a shortened version of the awful bowl cut we arrived with (see picture with red heart). She did clean up around his ears, but one side is a little longer than the other so his hair still just looks kind of rough. For a $25+ haircut on a 2 year old I at least expected it to not look like I did it at home.Service: Kids' cuts

I bring both my kids here and they love it! My son is almost 4 and I have been bringing him to Sarah since his very first cut. He actually looks forward to getting his haircut, he tells me he can't wait to see sarah, sit in the car, play with the trains, and get a lollipop! My daughter got her first ever shampoo cut and blowout with Sarah and she felt like a total princess, she also looks forward to every cut and getting new feathers or tinsel in her hair! Sarah is so knowledgeable and knows and talks about how the haircut will look at home, NOT just leaving the salon, WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT and she is fantastic with the kids! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We came in today for my daughter's first haircut and had a wonderful experience! Sarah was fantastic, my daughter felt very comfortable with her despite usually being a bit shy. Sarah had a lot of great tricks for getting my daughter to look in the direction she needed her to, and was the perfect blend of very patient and very quick so she could get the haircut done before my daughter got impatient. We've definitely found our new spot, thank you for the beautiful haircut!Services: Kids' cuts

The folks here are fantastic! My kids love the play area and the different "cars" they can sit in during their haircuts. I like the "appointment only" model. Yes, it can take some time to find an open slot, especially during school vacation time. However, knowing you have a time reserved for you is much better than a walk-in model where your wait could be anywhere from 0 minutes to hours.Services: Kids' cuts

We drive nearly an hour each way, every 4-5 weeks to have my 3.5 year old daughter’s hair cut at Trimmings. As one can imagine, the first haircut was a bit stressful and frantic but the staff was understanding and patient with my then 2 year old. It’s now something to look forward to as we always pair our haircut with a trip to Rainbow Toys (in the same shopping center) and McDonalds (across the street) for a junk food lunch. My daughter highly recommends the police car, “it’s awesome”! Hopefully a second location will open up closer to us but until then, we’ll make the drive and enjoy the special little day we make out of it.

Sarah does such a great job. She's magical being able to get my boys to stay calm while getting their hair cut. The waiting room has a kitchen and train set that keep one entertained while the other gets their cut.
