I have gone here multiple times for many different prescriptions. It is so hit or miss with the staff. Either they are entirely rude and do not know the systems, or they are efficient and know what they are doing. I am switching pharmacies because an errand that should take minutes takes a full hour for an already filled prescription.

Nice looking store. Very large for a Walgreens. Lots of inventory. None under lock and key. Maine is an oasis from the big city issues. How refreshing! They quickly found my prescription from FL and had it ready for pick up in 15 minutes. Now that service. I miss the old days pre-Covid when I'd while away the hours selecting photos from my camera and getting the prints in less than a hour! Those were the days...Now I've got 5,000+ pics on my phone and no more hard copy prints! Go figure.

Terrible customer service

The pharmacy is disorganized. Prescriptions are not being filled in a timely manner. Insurance coverage not verified. Cannot contact store and consistently get only messages on the phone. Do not deal with this store. Management will only try to justify this incompetent service. Go elsewhere.

Pharmacy staff was cooperative and informative. Made it very easy to coordinate prescriptions.

When this was a CVS it was fine, and the pharmacy had an outstanding staff. When Walgreens took over things went rapidly downhill. I think they significantly reduced the pharmacy staff. Earlier this year I had to move my prescriptions to another pharmacy to get the best prices from my insurer. I asked W to transfer them repeatedly. Both in person and on the phone. No action. The pharmacist at the new pharmacy called them three times: no action. This went on for weeks. Meanwhile one of my prescriptions ran out. Finally, my doctor had to write new prescriptions and simply abandon the old ones at Walgreens. Now, 6 months later, they are repeatedly robo-calling me because the insurer won't let them autofill. I called them back. Supposedly only one call ahead of me. After 45 minutes on hold, I hung up.

I have gone here SO many times for SO many different types of prescriptions (even some for my pet) and every single time without fail, they are the most rude and incompetent people I’ve come across. And it takes A LOT for me to write a review. Truly, I was just ignored for 20 mins after calling 3 times and having 4 separate people at the pharmacy look at me and then continue to do whatever they were doing (which was not helping the line of customers behind me). I finally walked out in tears without my prescription and had my doctor fill it elsewhere. When they finally spoke to me it was unhelpful, dismissive and rude. I’d rather wait an extra day and go to a different pharmacy than have to experience the horrible operation that is this Walgreens. Legit every single person in line with me today had some type of problem with getting their medication.

I've been using this pharmacy for 2 years (monthly Rx refills), so my perspective is NOT regarding one instance. Pandemic aside, the pharmacy staff tend to be slow, and have even been rude to me for asking why it takes 15+ minutes to simply check out a Rx that has already been filled (yes, I once again sat for 15+ minutes at the drive-thru, between me giving my name to the tech and the pharmacy FINALLY handing me the pre-filled Rx...and, no, they were not dealing with ANY customers inside). Yesterday a tech even snapped at me when I asked if they could hurry up AFTER yet another hiccup in the transaction. The hiccups were not my fault, but the tech blamed Walgreens' "bad system". So, the effect their issues had on me apparently deserved the tech snapping at me when I called out the long wait time (Rx was in his hand) even when I stressed that the long line of drivers behind me were flashing light, getting impatient. Walmart across the street has a pharmacy and I encourage others to move their services to Walmart, as I have now following the last straw. This Walgreens location is just too terrible on a consistent level, staffed by some who need to rethink their career if they are so unable to tolerate their workday.

Like all businesses these days they are short staffed. In this case there is a lack of pharmacists and they are often closed on regular business days so call ahead. If you schedule a COVID test here my recommendation is to schedule a test at a backup location due to lack of staffing in Falmouth.

Today I arrived in Portland Maine without some of my medicines. The young man named Patrick and the young lady who was there later in the day couldn't be any nicer. Walgreens should be grateful that they have such courteous professionals who take the extra step!
