This place is a nice little convenience store, for any snacks or the one thing you forgot to get at the grocery store and don’t want to go back to get. They have a lot of hard to find beers and there’s also a wine room.

Went there with my service dog today and an old lady with short gray hair yelled from behind the counter and in front of a bunch of customers “you can’t bring a dog in here!” I inform her it’s a service dog and she looks away and ignores me. I go pick out a drink go back to the counter and this woman says “dogs aren’t allowed in here” I tell her again it’s a service dog and she replies “well I need to see papers” I tell her that she can’t ask to see papers and she can only ask 2 questions, if the dog is a service animal, and if the animal is needed for a disability. She says again “well I need to see certification” I tell her again she cannot ask for that. She repeats herself another time and at this point I’m done checking out and I’m walking out. She finishes her outburst as I’m walking out the door, either saying “have a good day” or “never come back here again” I couldn’t really tell since I’m hard of hearing. This whole time my service animal has stayed quiet, didn’t touch anyone, was on short leash, wasn’t causing a disturbance, didn’t jump on anything, didn’t even sniff anything. Not that it matters but it was pretty obvious my dog was a service animal.I have been to this market multiple times with and without my service dog and have never had a problem with any of the other older women, they were all nice. This gray haired woman was rude to me from the second I walked in the door to the second I walked out, I was polite to her and just tried to explain to her the questions she was allowed to ask.To the owner- you can verify my story by checking your security cameras around 3pm on the 26th

According to employees “these aisles aren’t meant for strollers” well I’d hate to be someone in a wheelchair trying to access the facilities because there’s no way they are ADA compliant. I’ve never had a pleasant interaction there and avoid them at all cost, if you aren’t a regular they are incredibly unpleasant.

As a former employee I can say that I won’t ever take my business here. Not only is the owner horrible to anyone that isn’t buying his precious beer, but freshness and quality of food isn’t worth the price and half the time the product being put out by other workers was outdated. Just a heads up! Always check the dates people!

I just wanted to leave something to say the owner John is an obviously non caring no empathy nor sympathy type of man. I am a single mom of 4 whom got kicked out to be homeless by her narcissistic ex fiance with her children to live in her car. On top of the abuse and everything and then being kicked out because I was homeless and even tho my children were safe and under a roof every night I lost my kids. Well anyways one night while I was driving to go visit with my children my car's battery or alternator died on me and so I parked my car. The person that picked me up and helped me park my car there called and spoke with John and explained my car. It was in a parking spot. He said 24 hours you got. Needs to be off his lot or he has it towed. That was reasonable. I mean kinda short but at the same time I do get it. So as life sometimes happens and decides to throw a curve ball it tends to turn into a domini affect, I didn't have my car and I was needing to sleep in it that night. So I started using my phone to try and find somewhere to rest cause it was freezing and 8 at night. Well I found a ride and somewhere to go after about 40 minutes to an hour. I ended up getting stuck in f****** Winthrop all night that night and was almost sexually assaulted. I managed to get out of the situation and to a different space. However where I was the generator went out. No electricity which meant no phone. I had no way to get ahold of anyone or get anywhere. Needless to say come to find out John NEVER even waited the FULL 24 hours!!! I parked my car around 8 o clock at night it was sometime between 12pm and 4pm that he called Dutch Gap Auto to have it towed!!! So I lost not only my transportation which I NEED!!! To get a job and get a place to I can get my kids back but I lost my only legit reliable place to sleep at night to be out of the cold. Plus I was using my car to make money anyways. Now cause I can't afford it 3/4 weeks later my 700 dollar car has a price of over 3 grand for me to get it back. Thanks John!!! I know you didn't know the situation and I get it, However, you DIDNT even wait the FULL time that you had granted me!!! What if I did get a chance to be able to call u before hand?!?! This is B********** Thanks for making it to where a homeless person who don't always have a roof they can sleep under lose their place to stay warm and sleep. But now I can't make any money can't get a job cause I don't have reliable transportation. I also can't set up ride safe rides thru my Maine are because I do not have a physical address. So now I can't even get rides either. But also can't go see my kids can't go to important court dates or appointments that I need to be at to try and get somewhere to live and get my kids back or nothing. Thank you sooo much john. It really sucks too. Because my aunt and uncle rented a home from him and they had said that he was a wonderful and nice man. Awesome landlord supposedly too. Well umm..... Apparently he don't like to keep his word. You said 24 hours and didn't even stick to it. I still had like 5/6 hours to try and figure it outm that's a good bit of time. I might've been able to. I couldn't move the car cause I needed a battery or an alternator but I needed to figure it out which I needed and then replace it so that I could move it!! Now my life went from hell to f****** super hell.

Why Bother to have a wheelchair ramp if you are going to treat people badly for not being able to get to the deli because the store is so claustraphobically cramped? Then loudly announce that people usually order food at the deli (a person in a wheelchair cannot access the deli). Then also loudly announce that "They can't order at the Deli because they're in a wheelchair! Then set the change down on the counter where they couldn't reach it. Completely disgusting behavior! Something I witnessed with my own eyes today but could not speak up without making a scene.

I have always been satisfied with the service at Ron’s Market. The food is great, the employees are friendly, & the redemption center guys are very efficient and polite.
