I can't say enough good things about my experience with Brown's Goldsmiths in Freeport, Maine. I came to them with a beloved engagement ring that had lost its center diamond- a piece that held so much sentimental value. From the moment I walked in I felt completely at ease. The entire team, from the sales staff to the designers, was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. They listened carefully to my story and worked with me to come up with a thoughtful solution: using a different family diamond and parts of the original setting to create a completely refreshed version of my engagement ring. What really stood out was how caring and collaborative they were throughout the entire creative process. Every step felt intentional and personalized, and I could tell they cared not just about the final product but also my experience and connection to the crafted piece. The new version of my ring is absolutely breathtaking- it honors the classic original concept while also taking on a refined, contemporary look. I walked away beyond impressed, and I will definitely return to Brown's Goldsmiths for any future jewelry projects or purchases. Brown Goldsmiths has been our favorite jeweler for many years. Even though we don’t live in the area, we are always welcomed like family. Their customer service is exceptional as is the quality of their jewelry. We can’t wait to return to Freeport to see all the staff and to shop!

We have been happy customers of Browns for about 25 years. Most recently, we asked for their help in buying a necklace for our daughter for graduation. Allie and the team were wonderful. They helped us explore all our options in terms of metals and stones sizes and lengths. Throughout the process, Allie kept us payed regularly. We are thrilled with our purchase and know our daughter will be too.

I just want to share my excellent experience at Brown Golsmiths. I recently worked with Kathy on two special necklaces for myself and my daughter. One was simple in design, the other took some imagination and creativity. We came to a perfect design for my daughter using some smaller gems from my mother’s ring. Now she has a piece of her grandmother in a beautiful and unique design. I appreciate their thoughtfulness and patience while creating a design that I had envisioned.

I first went to Browns on a whim as I live about 2 hours away and I wanted to kill some time before my appointment. Kathy greeted me and was very helpful with parting me and my money.
