“Your "Neighborhood Hardware store" right on US Rt 1 in Freeport. Handy and helpful. They stock what you need and are very helpful leading you to it. This service gets you in and on your way. Locally owned and operated is a nice feature and isn't always how things work in an "outlet driven town like Freeport”

“I love Hammond Lumber. Working for a general contractor, needing the right materials when I need them makes having Hammond Lumber the best place to go. My job is much easier when I can call Pat Connors at the Brunswick office and I know what I need will get taken care of. He has been extremely helpful to make my job easier, and in turn, my customers happy. Come by if you need your projects to go smooth and efficiently.”

“The selection of small hardware; nuts, bolts, unique items cannot be matched at home depot. We were looking for a set screw for an antique door knob and they had it.”

“This is long overdue praise for BH&G. Most recently I brought my Gravely zero-turn to them for a fluid leak. Luckily, it ended up being an easier fix than I expected but they didn't take advantage of that. They quickly fixed it with a very minimal bill. The Laffelys have been taking care of me for as long as I can remember. This place has been in business forever and that's a great testament to the ownership and management here. They've helped me with a number of things; from simple blade sharpening, to me buying my Gravely from them, to them helping me find parts for a used bagging system that I didn't even get from them (a buddy gave it to me). This is the type of service you get from a small town, locally owned and operated business. They're honest, knowledgeable and fair and I highly recommend them.Keep it local”

“For Christmas I restored an antique family heirloom piece of furniture for a family member. The restoration required new drawer pulls and door knobs, and, not being knowledgable about furniture styles, etc, I didn't want to order from the internet or buy from a big box store.I visited Decorum and was absolutely amazed at how invested Kimry, the woman who was working that day, became in my project. She helped me look through boxes and boxes of old inventory, all the while making suggestions and providing information regarding what would be "fitting" based on the age of the piece. The key piece of information is that she knew from the beginning that my purchase would not be a significantly large sale. She returned to the picture I provided two or three times and even suggested a couple of very low-cost items that I hadn't thought of that absolutely "made" the restoration. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Kimry for her time and her incredible level of customer service. While I was a looking, another couple came in, and she treated them with the same level of professionalism.Moving forward, when I need any lighting or hardware of any kind for my home, I will refuse to shop elsewhere. The service and product line is second to none. I hope Decorum is around for long, long time.”

“I always have a good experience at Ace, but this review in particular is for Jane. She is incredible, I usually see her in the paint department. Friendly, helpful, knows what she’s doing, and always smiles. She looks for ways to be efficient when helping customers which seems to be a lost art these days in many establishments. She’s a fabulous employee and I love interacting with her.”

“It's Home Depot. It's the same essentially at any Home Depot in the US. Customer service is hit or miss depending on who's working and how experienced they are. Better to know what you're looking for and research in advance for time efficiency. Always convenient to have Home Depot and Lowe's just a short drive away for home projects and repairs. What we did years ago without them I don't know.”

“Home Depot’s strength are the wonderful and helpful staff. Topsham excels. This is what saved this from a three star rating. I had a cart full of items, went through self pay and then found out there’s no Apply pay. No signs, no warning. Was directed to customer service where confusion reigned. All major stores take virtual payment. Home Depot has to figure this out or I will be forced to head to Lowe’s after 20 years.”
