Always appreciated B& L service when we lived in Fryeburg which was over ten years ago. I ordered k-1 for our bridgton residence and they would not deliver given a minimum of at least 20 gallons. $ 7.00 a gallon is tough on Mainers but little or not sympathy. I reminded them I donated my prior heating system to one of their employees when they removed it out of our Fryeburg residence. No deed goes un punish...... that they would not make an exception. The front desk women was exceptional and did her best to see if we could get a delivery.

Want to give a shout out to Childrey that works in the office. She is very professional and over the years has helped me out tremendously. This last year I have thrown her many challenges and she has met these challenges head on and managed to solve my issues. She actually calls you back when she says she will. How rare is that in today's landscape? B&l listenup...you have a very valuable employee there, that other companies would love to employ. She is a treasure and so kind on the phone.

I have had B&L propane for a little over 2 years now and until now I had no complaints. I am a disabled Iraq war veteran who has been struggling for months now to come up with some money to get propane for heat and hot water. This company was aware that I was trying to get financial help cause 2 weeks ago they sent me an email on request of the current price per gallon on a company letter head.Thanks to my daughter, I received propane today but at the expense of $150 emergency delivery fee. I was a truck driver and have never been paid $150 an hour for 20 minutes of work.I can understand an emergency fee of maybe $50 for labor and fuel cost, but come on.Looks like I need to find a new supplier.Sincerely disheartened war veteran

Really gave me the run around on delivery time. They should be able to make a schedule and stick to it. They told me a day 3 separate times and didn't show up each day. The office person who answer the phones were rude and unhelpful.

I'm on auto delivery and have been before my neighbor upstairs. .. they say that they know that they are suppose to deliver the same time but keep on not delivering when they come to deliver upstairs and ending up with a bigger bill compared to what it would be if they just delivered at the same time.....I feel helpless....

UPDATED TO 3 STARSWaited over a week for a manager to call me back. He apologized and admitted that several errors were made on their end, offering to reduce our price per gallon for "the rest of the season". My last bill did not appear to reflect that adjustment.--------Moved to Chatham in July & established our account with B&L on automatic refill. Bought a generator & had B&L run the propane line for it & they insisted we install a 3rd tank. Weather starts getting colder & one night the house is FREEZING. Check the tanks & they're empty... They made some kind of error & our automatic delivery was not setup as it was supposed to be (despite my wife physically going to their office to set it up). They also must have failed to check the propane levels when installing the new tank or they'd have noticed we were almost out. Okay, mistakes happen & we're only human. They come & deliver 300 gallons of propane.Fast forward to this morning. Wake up at 5:45am to a snow storm, freezing house & no hot water to shower. Call B&L & get their 24 hr answering service who tells me they will have a technician call me within 30 mins. An hour passes with no call back so I call them & get the answering service again who apologizes & says they will note my call but not much they can do as they can't reach a technician.I'm supposed to be at work at 7:45 so now I get to call work & tell em I won't be making it on time. Still no call by 9am so I call & get them directly. They state they will send someone out but can't give a time or even an estimate of time. I explain that I'm concerned about our pipes freezing as the heat has clearly been off for quite some time for the house to be so cold & I'm concerned about a leak since we just had 300 gallons delivered only a couple weeks prior.They show up at 10:40am. No leak, just turns out to be human error yet again as they never hooked up 2 of the 3 tanks back up after their last visit. Awesome!I call them & ask for a manager. They have a service manager, office manager & delivery manager, but none of that matters because none of the managers are available to speak with. I leave my name & phone number for a manager to call me back.I'm not sure what can be done to keep me as a customer after a series of stupid errors on their end have now upended my life on multiple occasions & caused me to miss work. I think I'll be requesting a hefty discount on my next delivery or will be finding another propane supplier. I'll update my review based on what occurs on their manager's call back, if it ever happens. I won't be holding my breath.

This place is racist, at least the woman at the front. I called to inquire if they service my area, she took my info and said she will call me later that day, never got a call back, 3 days later decided to come in, and she told me that they dont service my area, I asked her if she know of any company that might service my area, she said no I do not, so I left feeling unease. Two days later I sent my husband in to inquire if they service our area, but not tell them that I already came in 2 days before just to see what they will say. Lo and behold they told my husband that they service our area and they also have a sister company Dodge oil, for sure they will service our area if they cant. You see, I'm asian decent and my husband is caucasian, and this company are racist towards color skin people. This company just lost our business, we just moved our business and our home to this area and they just lost our business, what a shame that this company is racist towards me.
