Hannaford Supermarkets is a chain with 189 stores located in the Northeast, including Maine, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The stores offer a good selection of groceries and are generally clean and well-maintained. Most locations feature full-service pharmacies with friendly staff who go above and beyond to assist customers with medication needs and insurance issues. The shopping experience is designed to be convenient, with parking available, although some stores are built in flood zones and may close periodically. Customers appreciate the pharmacy's helpfulness, but some find the store small and note that policies like requiring online club memberships for discounts can be inconvenient. Store staff at checkout may sometimes seem unkind or short, and parking lots can be uneven or busy during events. Overall, Hannaford provides a reliable shopping experience with a focus on quality foods and pharmacy services, though some policies and store features may vary by location.

I shop here about 4 times a week and am always impressed with the quality of their products, variety of meats, and the helpfulness of their staff. And their sales? How they periodically sell pork butts at 99 cents a pound while rivals sell them at triple that price I'll never know. Great store!!!
