Horrible, horrible post office. Ever since moving to Gardiner, they’ve been terrible at delivering packages. The packages are either in the wrong parcel locker or they’ve been marked as delivered when they haven’t been delivered at all. How hard is it to read a few labels and put them in the correct box? OR MAYBE, actually deliver packages instead of just marking them delivered. It doesn’t matter how many times you call, they never do anything about it.

I wish I could give a better review. The mail gets delivered maybe once every 6-8 days because they don't have any staff, which tells me it's probably not a good working environment. You call and they say your mail will be delivered the next day and it doesn't happen. The supervisors are defensive, talk over you, lack empathy, and I'm assuming also are over worked and stressed. This USPS is the worst. They deliver wrong packages to me all the time. Different addresses and random people's names. I've goten what I can only assume are people's birthday money because it says happy birthday and feels like a card in there. I drop it back off at the post office then they are deliver it to my home. The zip code and the city names are completely different. Also the blond lady in the front is the worst. I dread talking to her when I go in I can't imagine working with her. Every now and again we get the mail carrier in the rotation that clearly hates their job. He’ll park in front of your house and crash around his mail truck throwing packages. I could hear the crashing about from inside of my house with the windows and doors closed. My husband and I have witnessed him toss someone’s package from the street to their front door. Or slam a package into their front door point blank. The list goes on. This man needs to either leave or seek therapy.

Actually I’ve had good experiences with the Gardiner Post Office. The staff is friendly and helpful. Package delivery is sometimes a little slow but they are understaffed. I’ve had packages delivered long after hours so they can get caught up. They really do their best and being understaffed is bound to lead to the occasional mistake. Customers need to be more understanding. I’ve heard more rude customers than staff!

I wish I could give them zero stars. Our mail carrier just crams out packages in our box to the point I struggle to get them out. He literally crashed the box to make it fit. And another time our letters were soaked like they were dropped in a puddle. So much for pride in your work.

Almost all of the staff is rude and just downright disrespectful and obnoxious. There’s one younger woman who’s nice, and a younger man who is also nice, the rest of my experience with this staff is unbearable, and let’s not get started on the delivery drivers! We no longer get mail delivered to our house due to an incident that occurred, and the delivery driver lied to the postmaster, and now we have to drive to the post office to get which is fine, I understand stuff happens, but really? I also love when i’m ordering 200$ items and having them put in other peoples P.O. Boxes, having other peoples mail in MY P.O. Box, and it taking multiple days to receive mail pieces and packages, this is honestly absurd to me, considering it’s really hard to mess something up and take forever when all you have to do is walk a few feet and read some labels. I’ve read the reviews, I’ve also experienced others being treated rudely and disrespectfully while waiting in line. Gardiner’s P.O needs to hire people who don’t mind being there, rather than hiring people who disrespect and treat others horribly. I dread having to walk in there. If you’re able too, my recommendation is to switch to a post office that actually knows what they’re doing!

The Postmaster wants to hear about your experiences! He's relatively new & very receptive.The counter staff are rotten. They were of zero assistance when I was trying to mail a package to my Army Soldier son. No available pen, paper or tape when asked. Then one of them called me out & said that I had a bad attitude & it was people like me who are the problem. She yelled that she had witnesses. I asked to speak with the Postmaster & he was nice to deal with.They put the wrong people's mail in my PO Box. They withheld certified mail. They were late in sending a package that I tracked. We all need to write our complaints to the Postmaster!

all this is true and more I am a lifelong Mainer & Senior. It's the first time in our lives we have had all the same things as mentioned happen also with our delivery service in last few years. Once even our united states passports ending up 1/2 mile away! Thank God for an honest citizen returning them just in time.
