Blue is the restaurant at Grey Havens Inn. Dinner at Blue is a gustatorial delight. The food is superbly prepared and very appetizingly presented. The owners were lovely and eager to make our dinner memorable. I recommend Blue without reservation.

Richard, bar tender, did not disappoint with his espresso martinis. Salmon was out standing!

This hotel is beautiful. We stayed for only a few days and wished it could have been longer. The views are awesome and it is quiet and peaceful.

Our stay could not have been better. Everything was wonderful. Carlos and Ali went out of their way for us accommodating some last minute special needs which included moving (upgrading!) our room to a lower floor due to a recent injury that make the 3rd floor difficult. Cocktails on the expansive porch overlooking the sea and then dinner at Blue with family was the highlight of our trip. The whole family agreed that dinner at Blue is now a tradition when we are together in Georgetown.

We recently stayed 2 nights for a friends wedding and it was our first time staying at an Inn and our first trip to Maine. We were blown away by how clean and thoughtful our room was. The owners are friendly and welcoming and made us feel very at home. The food was amazing and being gluten free, there were always options I could choose. The view and front porch was the best part. Truly a wonderful experience all around.

Another great stay ! We have been coming here 22 years since our daughter found Grey Havens for her sisters wedding. I think there have been 3 different Inn Keepers during that time and the current owners are the best. They are lovingly improving this historic Inn. They added a good restaurant too. I dream of sitting on their porch looking out on the ocean with a glass of wine and then being summoned into BLUE for dinner. It was 96 in
Boston and 75 on the porch. The room was comfortable to sleep and ceiling fans kept us cool.

Grey Havens Inn was absolutely perfect. Quaint and charming with incredible service, we were made to feel right at home and loved the stunning ocean view. Dinner was 10/10 with a great menu, service and wine options. (For a night cap, their espresso martinis were the best we’ve ever had!) Coffee and breakfast in the morning capped off the stay! Cannot recommend enough.

I only ate at the restaurant and it was THE best meal I had during my Maine vacation, and one of the top dining experiences I've ever had. The atmosphere and the service were perfect. MAKE A RESERVATION or you might not get in!!! While waiting for our table, we sat on the front porch in the rocking chairs, where we served us our cocktails. They have something similar to an old fashioned which is delicious, and I was certainly feeling it after my one and only drink. The back of the inn overlooks water, and we were fortunate to be there at sunset to walkthe grounds. I will make this a must on my next trip to Maine.
Food & drinks: One of the best I've ever had, including the service.

Grey Havens Inn is an architectural treasure, an in-tact three story shingle-style luxury hotel built in 1904 by local-boy made good Walter Reid. It sits on a bluff situated in Georgetown and faces the ocean, islands, and inlets of Midcoast Maine with its turrets flanking each side and a massive wrap-around front porch.
The Inn is magical with woodwork everywhere, high ceilings, an incredible river stone fireplace in the main sitting room, and a full dining room wrapped with windows and a bar where guests gather for morning breakfast and intimate dinners. The sounds of the ocean waves and tidal flow, the cool ocean air, and expansive post-card coastal views take you to a special place.
The inn-keepers, Ali & Carlos, are very friendly, accommodating, and performing a great service to us all by preserving this gem. The morning-breakfast is first-rate with a wide-range of freshly prepared offerings. In our three-day stay, we were greeted with a delicious egg casserole, a bread pudding coffee cake, oat meal, fresh fruit, in-house yummy granola, hard-boiled eggs, an airy cinnamon-sugar donut hole, unlimited freshly brewed coffee, and much more.
We stayed in one of the rooms with a turret (the Five-Islands room) on the third floor with windows facing in multiple directions and great cross-ventilation and highly recommend it. Given the price of the Grey Havens Inn relative to generic luxury hotels, this Inn is an incredible value. We would return in a heart beat.
Rooms: Incredible woodwork, views, very clean, and nice bathrooms!
Nearby activities: Incredible Midcoast Maine setting with Bath and Brunswick within striking distance.
Safety: Super quiet and safe.
Food & drinks: Wide-range of food options that are freshly prepared and accommodate vegetarians.
Noteworthy details: A national register luxury hotel built in craftsman shingle-style in 1904 and replete with woodwork and river-rock fire place.

Spectacular doesn't begin to describe our experience at Grey Havens Inn! From the moment we arrived, the magnificent harbor view beckoned us to sit in a big ol' rocking chair on the Inn's lovely porch, cocktail in hand & relax completely into the moment. Oh & sunsets? Outstanding! Our first moments at Grey Havens were so warm & welcoming. Actually even before arriving, calls with innkeepers, Ali & Carlos, had us beyond excited for our initial stay. I say initial because of course we definitely will return & soon I hope! I could list endlessly all the delightful elements that the Grey Havens team have combined to create a place in which one can truly & gloriously unwind. From the lovely & cozy guest rooms to the gorgeous bay-windowed common room (with its stunning actual bay-view) the vibe is marvelous. Grey Havens feels quintessentially seaside Maine with just the barest but perfect touch of some lovingly placed & demure whimsy to intrigue a curious eye. Our initial stay dates did not overlap with Blue's calendar, sadly. However the many tales we heard of Chef Esau's creations have us drooling in anticipation. We will ensure we enjoy a dinner at Blue upon our return to Grey Havens.

My daughter wanted the dream wedding with the full Fall experience for family and friends. Plans went smoothly and all fell into place. The weekend arrived and all that changed. "She is like a different person!", said the bride. From start to finish there were unprofessional comments made by the owner which, I assume, were not meant to be overheard. Guests, vendors and bridal party were shocked at the behaviors being displayed by the owners. The list of issues goes on and on but the worst is that no bridal venue owner should EVER cause the bride to cry on her wedding day due to an unprofessional attitude. It left a DARK STAIN on their wedding memories.
