Love the excitement of finding great stuff! But I think they should only allow x amount of people at a time! And it's shocking how IGNORANT and aggressive the "regulars" are! I've gone about 4 or 5 this now over the corse of several months and see alot of the same group of people everything! They act like they own the damn place! You could be looking at a pile stuff and they have no problem grabbing everything in front of you and taking what they want ! Wish the employees would step in and makenthe customes leave! Would make the shopping experience more enjoyable if there was some accountability for the over barren customers!

I stay away on weekends, very crowded with some extremely aggressive and downright nasty customers. Also some moms and dads who bring their young kids and release them for free run of the store. Quiet often you can get high just breathing the air in the parking lot. All that being said, it's a lot of fun searching the bins for treasures, and I can't say enough about the polite and courteous staff. In other words the only really problem is that maybe 20% of the customer base that are scary, potentially violent, druggies. I fully expect a shooting to happen one day.

This place is great when you are looking for something specific. Be aware!! If you have A.D.D like me... lol you will go nuts and completely loose track of what you're there for. So here is the setup; It's a big warehouse that has rolling tubs/bins in the center, side, middle of the room... you rummage through the bins( don't turtle snail it because others will grab what you might want too right out of your hand). The bins get rolled away and new ones come in( don't touch the bins when the employees are rolling them away). Get what you need/ like/ want quick and don't piss off the regulars that go there to hunt for brand names and re sell... don't take anything out of carts you see standing around... and have fun!! The more times you go the easier and less intimidating it will be. Stuff is weighed at checkout and you're out. THIS WILL BE YOUR NEW ADDICTION... But don't worry... it will become old after a while.

My experience with the Goodwill Buy the Pound store is truly amazing. I have bought several electronics there such as consoles, phones, tablets, and much more. Over 75% of my clothes in my dresser are from there. Even though I don't always get things in the blue bins the computer shelf or display case always have items that catch my eye. It's definitely an experience of a lifetime especially if you aren't used to thrift storesOverall the prices there are very good and I will recommend this store to anyone.

2.75 stars was an option I would go there I consider myself to be an experienced thrift shopper & have been going to the GW BTP outlet in Gorham since the Outlet opened. You know, BEFORE they rolled the “Glass cases” in there grossly overpriced “quality” or “brand” name items like the stores. I assure you items under the glass the BTP Outlet dont look better under glass, it looks more trashy IMHO- which is why I am taking time to write this review, and have totally limited how much I shop at GW stores lately..
Can we get real pls! Gw BTP outlet IS the land of misfit toys & everything else under the sun Stuff that didn’t sell in the stores, overflow donations etc Bottom line, EVERYTHING NO ONE WANTS ends up at the POUND!
So, pls pardon me if I’m being INSANE- but when I walk into the GW OUTLET BTP & there is an older wood Pine blanket chest (water stained legs and bottom and smells like musty basement) sitting there with a price tag of $49.99 SERIOUSLY?! Who puts the tags on this stuff? Do they have any clue? Newflash to Management - The shoppers who come to BTP or any GW location DONT WANNA PAY full price FOR ANYTHING LOL! Let alone dropping $50 on a smelly musty blanket chest! Pls let’s be REAL. The BTP customers r die hard thrifters who wanna paw thru the bins & smell the moth balls of vintage items they r seeking or treasure hunting.
Just some constructive feedback from a faithful & rather disgusted thrift shopper. Someone take the price gun away from the one in charge @ the Pound please.
