Jo's Sugar House/ Hartwell Farm is a perfect place for a sugar shack, especially during the Maine Maple Sunday open house. It features a real sugar shack with demonstrations and knowledgeable, friendly people to answer questions. Many maple products are available to buy. Visitors can enjoy free vanilla ice cream with maple syrup and fresh cooked blueberry pancakes with sausages and homemade syrup. There are several picnic tables and plenty of safe off-road parking. The treats are delicious and the people are welcoming and nice.
