My husband and I stayed here for two days on Veteran's Day weekend. The owner is an ex-military wife, and all the customers that weekend were vets. We stayed in the Brook Bridge room and would gladly do so again. The room is gorgeous and spacious, with an entryway with a desk and a door to the garden area, followed by the bedroom and bath. The bed was a king size and the mattress very comfortable. The bath had plenty of hot water. Though we brought our own toiletries, they had the usual things in the room (shampoo, conditioner, soap, cotton puffs, Q-tips), plus bath salt. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the room with supplies for coffee. If you want something special, bring some K-cups along. The owner is congenial and makes you feel right at home…a real hostess. There are cookies and soda in the registration area, plus a microwave, a shared (among all the guests) mini fridge, and an electric kettle and teas. I brought some packets of hot chocolate and made it there in the morning. The breakfast is excellent. Remember, it's a bed and breakfast, so the owner is making the same breakfast for everyone, save food-isms. We had a breakfast sandwich the first morning (poached eggs, cheese (Gouda, I believe, but I could be wrong), spinach leaves, tomato, roasted English muffins...served with fresh fruit and grilled pineapple. The fresh fruit was originally supposed to include something I was allergic to, so the owner left out that ingredient for everyone to avoid cross-contamination. The second morning was French toast with poached pears and fresh blueberries. She doesn't put milk out, since most people don't drink it for breakfast these days, but ask if you want it. She'll pour you a glass! The first night we were there, my husband ordered up a couple of surprises: flowers in the room (they were lovely!) and a meat and cheese plate that was wonderful. There were three types of cheese, one meat, a hot pepper jelly, two types of crackers, and fresh seedless grapes. The jelly was so good, I asked for the name so I could buy some more for my husband. I also purchased a cookbook there, and it has some great recipes in it.The only negative I had about the place was that the site said there was a DVD player in the rooms, so I brought along some movies to watch with my husband in the evening. It turns out there was no DVD player, but they do have extensive cable, so we still had something to watch when we wanted to relax in the room.Nearby activities: Use the Portland, ME site to find activities. We found a ton of things to do the weekend we were there. In addition, the owner will tell you about some interesting things going on in Gorham while you're there. She pointed us to a craft fair at USM (just a mile or so away from the B&B) that I'm glad we went to.Walkability: There are a ton of great restaurants in walking distance, especially MK Kitchen! Most of them are at a small intersection two blocks away from the hotel.

We had a family wedding in Maine this past weekend and my family and I decided to try the Pinecrest Inn Bed and Breakfast for our stay. We reserved 5 of the 6 rooms for a two night stay. Everything was really well done. The rooms were spotless, the inn keeper was warm and welcoming and the breakfast both days was amazing! We chatted together in the common room each evening and helped our selves to drinks from the common fridge. The inn was quiet and well decorated. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in this part of Maine again!

The Pine Crest Inn is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast! Our room, the Gorham, was spacious, clean and had lots of amenities. Our hostess, Kathy, was very gracious and a good cook! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Maine.

On a recent 6 day conference trip to Maine, I had the privilege of staying at the PineCrest Inn and it was fantastic! Rather than stay at a chain hotel, I was able to immerse myself in the quaint town of Gorham and stay at this gorgeous Inn. Clean, updated rooms with top of the line linens, combined with great breakfasts and friendly recommendations from Innkeeper Kathy made this trip amazing. I hated to leave! I highly recommend and can't wait until my return trip.

Such a hidden Gem! We started our Maine trip at the Pine Crest Inn and we were not disappointed! Kathy’s place is very clean, rooms are spacious, and her breakfast is delicious. One of the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in. Will definitely stop by here again on our next trip to Maine! Thank you again Kathy for being a wonderful Hostess.Josie and John

We so enjoyed out stay at Pinecrest Inn. Kathy, the innkeeper, was charming, our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts were outstanding. We have enjoyed breakfasts at many inns but none compare with Kathy's delicous and so beautfully presented breakfasts. When making a reservation here in order to attend a nearby wedding, we had no idea what a hidden gem we had found. When we return to the Portland area, we will stay at the Pinecrest Inn.Laura and Jim

The Inn is a beautiful historic home with very clean, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms. Our host was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, including breakfasts that took our dietary preferences into account. The property is also lovely, with flower gardens and a patio area with umbrella tables where we ate our dinner one evening. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone wishing to have a more personal experience than a hotel or an Air B&B--and an excellent breakfast!

What an absolute joy it was to be a guest here!Firstly, the guest rooms and common areas are all immaculate. My #1 yardstick for accommodations is cleanliness, and I've never felt so comfortable anywhere besides my own home. It's spotless right down to the baseboards. The location is unbeatable - easy access to the airport and a pleasant, quick drive into Portland if that's your daily destination. The bed was ooh-aah comfortable, I never even rustled in the night. All the linens and products feel very luxe. The breakfasts are so good we are still talking about them. Everyone talked up Portland as a foodie destination (and it is!), but the best meals we had the entire trip were from Kathy's kitchen. And the dining room is so inviting and lovely - a perfect start to the day.Kathy herself is a gem. Friendly, interesting, the consummate host. She told us the cute story behind the name of our room and was quick with recommendations when we needed them. We felt like royalty all week.We plan to make future visits to the Portland area and will never stay anywhere else!

We so enjoyed our recent stay of 5 nights at the Pine Crest Inn. First, our host and innkeeper, Kathy, is a most friendly, courteous, considerate and accommodating B&B host. Every day she checked to see if we needed anything and made sure we felt "at home." The room was very nice, clean and comfortable, as was the entire Inn. Breakfasts were as advertised - "varied day-to-day from sweet to savory" - and oh so delicious. As I am a coffee drinker, Kathy was quick to please by leaving extra in the refreshment area so that if I wanted a cup in the afternoon or evening it was there for me. Set in a beautiful location within range of the greater Portland area and beyond, the Pine Crest is a gem in Gorham. We plan to return as the opportunity presents.Thank You, Kathy!Rooms: All rooms that we were in were comfortable and adorned with interesting and unique features (books, paintings and posters, ornaments, etc.).Safety: I'll felt very safe walking the area of Gorham and Kathy made sure that guests felt safe at the Inn and were aware of safety practices to be followed.Walkability: The location was within walking distance of many shops and eateries in downtown Gorham.Food & drinks: Breakfast was substantial, more than I usually eat, yet I ate it all.Coffee, a house blend from Carrabassett Coffee Co., and orange juice were available. There was also yougrt, cereal, and other items, if preferred.

Our stay at the Pine Crest Inn was awesome!! The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, the suite was beautifully decorated and very clean, the breakfasts were delicious and deliciously presented, several amenities (toiletries/coffee) available in the suite and the yummiest homemade chocolate chip cookies for an evening snack in the common area. Kathy, the Inn Keeper, is very friendly and makes you feel at home, she loves the Inn, her guests and you will love her and the Inn too! Do not miss out!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend trip to Maine. We stayed at the lovely PineCrest Inn. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable with on-suite bathrooms. The in-keeper, Kathy served delicious breakfasts each morning and even accommodated a different option for my special needs. It’s situated outside of Portland in the small town of Gorham. We were able to drive to many areas to visit which made it a great “home base”. Would definitely visit again!
