I've never written a review for anything before, but I really want potential adopters to be cautious about adopting from here. I adopted my kitten about two months ago, and I wouldn't give her up for anything, she's perfect. However, I took her to the vet for a standard, post-adoption check up and it turns out she has pretty serious dental disease caused by a baby tooth that should have been pulled 3 months prior to adoption. When adopting an animal from the Pixel Fund, they give you a five day window in which you may return your pet should the vet find any medical issues. This is such a trap. I booked my kitten the earliest possible appointment and she still couldn't be seen for six weeks. Getting your pet checked out in a 5 day window is virtually impossible. My kitten's medical issue was entirely preventable and now she has to have surgery, which will cost 4x more than her adoption fee. Because I signed the contract to adopt her, there is nothing the Pixel Fund will do to help. My kitten is worth every penny, but I'm incredibly disappointed in this rescue.

We had a really great experience adopting Carrot (Crookshanks). She’s exactly how she was described when she was posted , although she is showing the occasional orange cat tendencies now that it’s been almost a month with her 😂 I know some people don’t like the virtual visit but it’s a matter of a few minutes for their peace of mind so don’t be scared off by that. We’d love to adopt through the pixel fund again, it was an easy process!
Update: we adopted a second from pixel fund! She’s just as lovely, and we had another great experience.

They will not let you adopt a cat if any other animals in your house are not fixed. I wanted to adopt a cat after my cat passed away but my dog isn't fixed. I'm all set with the virtual visit as well as the pixel group there are better places to adopt from.

I love my new kitten but he was given to me with a cold that turned into an infection that has resulted in multiple vet visits. The only thing the Fund offered to do to help was for me to return the kitten for a refund which is not a reasonable offer. They should at least pay some, if not all of the vet bills. I’m very disappointed with the Pixel Fund.

Pixel fund was very easy to work with. We adopted our dog, a Staffordshire terrier mix, in 2020 when he was 2. He's been the best dog we've ever owned.

Terrible communication leading up to a 60 second FaceTime “home visit” then received a rejection email for reasons that weren’t mentioned on the FaceTime call. On top of that the dog was already adopted by someone else before the FaceTime call even took place. I sent a long, thoughtful email response which was ignored completely. Save your time and emotional investment and visit a local shelter instead of supporting these clown’s vanity project.

We adopted our kitten from The Pixel Fund. It was a smooth and easy adoption. They did a video call house inspection to make sure our home was safe.

Prices are high, the contracts are maybe over the top, and the application process is surprisingly intrusive. BUT, the people are great and the animals are very well taken care of.There is a strong logic behind the Pixel Fund's excesses, though. It's - and everything is - for the care and benefit of their little charges.I like this organization and I'm very grateful for their help. I'll gladly deal with the Pixel Fund again

My first time adopting a pet from a rescue. They were so kind and helpful. We absolutely cherish our kitty from them. She was very well cared for by the foster and all up to date on shots, spay and microchip. Overall 11/10 experience!
