A couple of days ago, when visiting relatives I used to live with in Greenbush, I saw a young man that works at the Greenbush, Maine post office, lower the American flag at the end of the day as I was entering the building. When he came in, he BALLED IT UP and THREW IT ON A DESK! I asked him if he was going to fold it later and he completely ignored me. Does the United States Post Office (part of the U.S. government) have the right to do this...ESPECIALLY in front of customers? I am disgusted! When commenting on it later with friends, I had heard that the lady that used to work there is gone. I wish she'd come back. She knew how to treat the American flag AND her customers! This type of behavior is despicable and unacceptable! While I'm venting, why are the people who deliver the mail always yelling and slamming things around in there? That's been going on for AGES! I know one of the carriers; her name is Brandy Carmichael and she is the worst of all...how is she still employed there? Her attitude, rudeness, and blatant language is appalling! Glad I live across the border now and don't have to see all of that on a regular basis!
