Just wanted to thank Jenn and the rest of the team at Blair Hill for facilitating such a wonderful weekend. The inn is immaculately maintained and the breathtaking view from within and outside on the grounds is something that can only be fully experienced in person. Additionally, the Slate restaurant right downstairs from our room offered one of our favorite meals to date! They also arguably undersell how terrific the included breakfast in the morning is - wow! Made to order with delicious and fresh ingredients. As a bonus, I proposed to my now fiancé on this surprise trip in Lily Bay State park (just a short drive down the road) and she couldn't be happier.We can't wait to return in the summertime! Thanks guys!

This review is for the Slate Restaurant. Fantastic! Unbelievable! Amazing! So many superlatives could be used to describe the excellent meal we had on New Year's Eve at Blair Hill Inn. We started with Oysters, Beets, and a Pumpkin based soup. Everyone raved about them. I had the oysters and they were perfect. They may have been the best I've ever had in New England. Surprised to get oysters this good so far from the coast but I would order them every time after having them that night. Two guests had the beets and couldn't stop praising them. I tried a bite and they were incredible! The Pumpkin soup went over well also. Presentation on all appetizers was awesome. Everything was perfect. I should have mentioned that the drinks were also very good. We tried a couple specials and they were expertly prepared. For the entrees we tried a Halibut, a Steak and a couple Lobster dishes with a broth and puff pastry. I had one of the lobsters and again it was delicious and presented beautifully. I also tried a bite of the halibut which was probably the best halibut I've ever tried. Another gorgeous presentation as was the steak which I did not try but which was reported as being amazing as well. Service was perfect, the ambiance was both elegant and festive. The noise level was perfect. There's simply nothing that could have been done better. I've eaten all over the world and previously worked in the business for many years. You're going to have a difficult time finding a better dining experience. This legendary dinner, coupled with excellent company, is one of the best I've ever had. If you're ever in the Greenville area I would make time for a meal at the Slate Restaurant at Blair Hill Inn. You'll be so glad you did!

We absolutely loved our stay at Blair Hill. It is quite easy to reach and offers a wonderful experience that is what we now feel like is part of quintessential Maine. Prepare yourself for wonderful food and people to help you enjoy your stay.

Our three nights at the Blair Hill Inn were absolutely superb. Our room overlooked Moosehead Lake with a cozy fireplace, terrific bed and great windows. The sunsets from the large veranda with heaters were spectacular. The breakfasts included were gourmet and something to look forward to. The grounds are well maintained. The staff members make you feel totally at home and let you know that they want your stay to be splendid. I highly recommend the Blair Hill Inn in every way and hope to return. The newer owner does everything possible to make your stay memorable.

My wife and I stayed at the Blair Hill Inn this summer and it was a gem. First off we stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms which was a home run as we were traveling the northern Maine area with our guy who loves to swim, hike, and adventure. The staff there is super friendly towards dogs which I was originally uneasy about as it seemed like such a nice quaint place, but they were so accommodating. The staff here was so awesome…from check-in, spa, dining, ground keepers, everybody we had interactions with was friendly and had top notch customer service. They went well out of their way to arrange some of the wildlife safaris, a private wine and sunset up on their property and even went out to get pizza for us because it was a night their restaurant was closed and they wanted us to have a meal when we returned from one of the night time wildlife safaris. We will definitely return and would recommend here to anybody visiting the area. In a post Covid world where many businesses are struggling to find workers and stay afloat, the customer service here was top notch, and really visible, totally appreciate that, even the younger girls at breakfast were so polite and proficient, it was nice to see that. You guys are great and keep up the good work.

We honeymooned at the Blair Hill Inn and our 5-night stay was a 5-star experience! It kicked off with a champagne greeting and a tour of the inn by the owner, Jenn. We stayed in room 5 which offered tons of natural light, a large soaking tub and views of the lake and hillside garden. Each morning we looked forward to the complimentary breakfast with rotating specials (the muffins and smoothies in the first course were such a treat!) and enjoyed a few great dinners at the Slate restaurant during the week as well. They offered great wine and bourbon selections and we loved the fresh baked cookies! My husband and I mentioned we were keen to hike. and after providing us with local recommendations including Mt Kineo and Little Moose Mountain, they arranged a picnic lunch complete with a cooler backpack, Yeti water bottles, trail mix and great deli sandwiches! The Pottery Barn bed linens and Matouk bath linens were so luxurious and coordinated perfectly with the decor throughout the rest of the Inn. The on-site spa was so nice we visited twice! The entire property was meticulously maintained with blooming flowers and manicured paths to guide you. Cherry on top was the incredibly warm staff which greeted us each time, remembering conversations we’d had and always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Jenn is so kind and accommodating and was quick to point us in the right direction when we mentioned our strong desire to see a moose in the wild for the first time (we found one thanks to her!). We truly felt no stone was left unturned. We CANNOT wait to return for anniversary trips and spend more time as such a special place!

We are back for our second stay with Jenn and her amazing staff. Wow! We love this place and it was a pleasant surprise to Lear that it is on the Relais & Chateaux listings. They deserve it! The view is spectacular, the hospitality makes one feel immediately welcome like old friends, and the accommodations are flawless. We will be back again and again.

We had an amazing experience at Blair Hill Inn! We were there as guests for a wedding and were completely blown away by the venue, the rooms, the dining, and the atmosphere. The venue for the wedding reception was perfect. Plenty of space for dining and dancing. As an added bonus, there is a sweet, short trail into the hills that provides nothing but silence and peace. Albeit a bit pricey, but if you are looking for an wonderful experience with wonderful staff, I highly encourage you to enjoy Blair Hill Inn.

I'll start this by saying we have never stayed here and I HATE leaving negative reviews.We had a reservation for my husband's birthday last year in August. He got COVID three days prior to our stay. So, because we aren't monsters, we cancelled.They told us we could use the credit within a year, which seemed consistent with other place's policies in the timeframe (2022).We LOVE Relais and Chateaux properties. We've stayed at several and frequent Camden Harbor Inn often. We live in Maine and were quite excited to try Blair Hill.They said we had a year to use the credit; and, admittedly, I left it late. I called them to book for a few weeks from now, and they said I didn't have a credit - they don't credit cancellations.Now, I may pay $1200 again for a room, because (see above) we love R&C properties, would love to visit Moosehead, etc.But, in this situation, the alternative here was that I came for my reservation - knowing we had COVID - and expose all the other guests and their staff. ...I'd hate to be on the other side of that equation, getting COVID because someone didn't want to lose $1200.Blair Hill, I was so looking forward to staying with you. I'm sorry about this 1* review, but $1200 is a lot of money.I won't knowingly expose others to COVID (or any other highly infectious disease), but you shouldn't encourage that behavior in your guests.<<update>> But by not telling me that a year ago, it negated any travel insurance I could have used through my platinum card. :( sad to lose so much money because we did not want to infect your staff.

This place is an absolute GEM. Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful. The breakfast was out of this world. The accommodations in the room were more than I imagined. They have a beautiful spa on site and a jacuzzi. This is my most favorite place that I have stayed.

An incredible luxury experience in the depths of Maine. From the warm welcome of the staff, fresh baked cookies and treats, champagne upon arrival and cocktails at sunset, we can't wait to go back. The inn is clean and well maintained, the daily breakfast with local ingredients and fresh squeezed orange juice, paired with an incredible view of Moosehead Lake. The Inn Keeper curated an exceptional itinerary with a lake tour, sunset experience, spa day, sea plane tour, and moose safari. Dinners at Slate Restaurant were delicious and full of flavor. We enjoyed all that the area has to offer and came back to a spacious and relaxing room each night. Highly recommended!

The Slate Restaurant Fantastic, delicious food. What an amazing restaurant. The food was fabulously delectable. My husband and I wanted to lick our plates. Everything served was delicious. The presentation of the dishes inviting. The chefs ability to combine flavors was spectacular and tantalizing. The staff professional and attentive. A wonderful experience. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The views spectacular. Worth every penny. We will return.
