Stony Brook Recreation is a beautiful campground offering a variety of accommodations, including cabins, vacation homes, lean-tos, and spacious sites suitable for large rigs and trailers. The property features stunning mountain views and is close to many attractions like restaurants, breweries, hiking, skiing, and historical sights such as the Sunday River Bridge. Guests find the atmosphere relaxing and the sites beautiful. The amenities are excellent and include a huge, always clear and clean 20x40 pool, a camp store, and activities like mini-golf, shuffleboard, and horseshoes with equipment easily accessible. The staff and ownership are consistently described as amazing, responsive, personable, accommodating, attentive, helpful, and friendly, often working hard to improve the campground and assist guests with their needs. The on-site restaurant serves very good food, including delicious lobster rolls. Some notes include that certain sites can be unlevel and roads may wash out after heavy rain, though they remain drivable. The laundry room is noted as dark but the washers and dryers work great. The wifi covers much of the grounds. Guests highlight the clean bathrooms and hot showers. Many appreciate the dog-friendly environment and plan to return, whether for summer foliage or winter skiing, making it a place they definitely want to visit again.
Original site provided was less than ideal for motorcyclists however we were given an upgraded site at no extra cost when they remembered we were on bikes. Camp store and amenities were excellent and wifi covered much of the grounds. The Pool was a great way to end a long day ride. Breakfast the next morning ht the spot.

We chose here because of how close it was to the event we were attending. Everyone was great there that we had interactions with. Our site was beautiful & love how relaxing it felt. Bathrooms were clean & the HOT showers were just what we needed! Mini golf & shuffleboard were a hit for us! Definitely worth going back!

We used this as our base for a local event. Easy reservations, easy check in, everything worked. Shower were clean. Price is right in line with standards for RV camping.
