Awful service. I moved into a home where the previous owner was a customer to provide gas for a pool heater. That tank has been disconnected and is empty and I want the tank removed. They do not reply to service requests made online and when I call (multiple times) they place me on hold for 20+ minutes until I am forced to hang up. I just needed their tank removed. I could have become a new customer but with this level of service I would never recommend them.

Terrible customer service. Can attest to the $400+ fee to pick up their tanks. I actually swapped earlier in the year becuase it was Feb/Mar (temps were in 20s/30s), my gas was incredibly low, and they decided they weren't doing emergent fills anymore.

Terrible service and hidden fees. Want to dispute anything...your calls are routed to a call center where broken English is the language and teh people are not empowered to do anything to make matters better. AVOID or you will be sorry.

Amerigas promised me a price reduction 2 weeks ago. Still waiting to hear from them so I can play for the last delivery! Charge for tank rental are not fair, they were added years after I became a customer!!

Absolute nightmare. Got charged for a delivery that never arrived and then had to call no less than 4 times to finally get this reversed. Hours of my time wasted. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

So annoying to deal with. Can't even understand the people who answer the phones. Charge fees all over the place. It's going to cost $420 just to come pick up their tank! So ready to be done with them.

I wish I could give zero stars. The worst customer service of any company I’ve ever dealt with. Impossible to get a scheduled date for a delivery or for removing their tank when I decided I can’t stand working with them anymore. They charge a rental fee on the tank and then charge $400+ to remove it. They refuse to schedule a date so that I can coordinate with the new company and minimize how long I go without heat and hot water. Their call center is over seas somewhere so it’s impossible to explain the complexity of needing a date for things in Maine where it snows. If they do give a one week window for a propane delivery, they rarely have actually shown up in that window. Since they gave up on a local office to call, the customer service has plummeted. I’ve been a customer for 25+ years and the last several have been awful. I’ve held out hope for improvement for as long as I could but it’s time to move on.

I ordered propane way ahead of time, a door was left cracked and we lost 20% of a tank overnight. It had been several days since I placed the order. I called to update the amount of fuel left in my tank. Even though I was already at the amount of time since my order Amerigas promised it would deliver, the customer service agent said they could not deliver any sooner than two weeks from the nee tank update. If I wanted fuel sooner they could next send some the next day for a $300 up charge. $300 is about half the value of my total order. Luckily I have a wood stove, so I said that and burned wood exclusively. It was inconvenient but I made it through. I understand having a high emergent delivery discourages people from making last minute orders but sometime accidents happen. Perhaps having a progressive increase in price to discourage repeat offenders without hurting someone who has a one off accident would be a better policy. I will be ceasing business with Amerigas as soon as is humanly possible.

My propane levels have been getting too close to empty by the time you actually arrive to refill my tanks. You set up a delivery within a good time, but you almost always have a delay and then come when the levels I feel are dangerously low for the cold weather (approx 10% left in the tank). Do better, AmeriGas.

Absolutely the worst on every account.

Auto delivery failed. Gas level 0%. Had to call after message scheduled delivery cancelled. Should not have gone lower than 20%. We had no power outages. Normal use.

Service was fabulous once I got a hold of a customer service rep. They quickly delivered the propane and the driver was great.
