“Here is a true story. We ordered a bedframe, delivered to our cottage. Usually we have items shipped to our house, but this was heavy, and a cottage neighbor said the post office delivered here. Late in the afternoon Amazon reported that the package was undeliverable and was being returned to the seller. We jumped in the car and went to the post office. The only employee there at the moment broke off her conversation with a friend to help me. I told her I had made a mistake and ordered something mailed to our cottage. She said "are you xxx at yyy road?". Yes I was. She told me exactly how to get packages approved for delivery here in the future. Then she lifted the heavy package and instead of giving it to me, identified a strong young man in line and in a sweet but commanding voice, had him take the box to my car. This could not have gone more smoothly, thanks to competence, quick thinking, and kindness.”

“Awesome post office in a great location in Litchfield at the 4 corners. Personable service. Friendly. Small, but in a good way. Really go out of their way to help. Plenty of parking and po boxes for rent. Passport photos available. Free boxes. Just really nice people. Not your typical post office, better.”
