Castonguay Meats is widely considered the best and most phenomenal butcher shop in the area, offering much better quality and better prices than local grocery stores. Customers report they no longer buy meat from grocery stores, getting all their meats here forevermore due to the amazing variety, quality, and overall service. The shop specializes in cow, pig, lamb, and chicken but offers many other things, including pork belly, bacon, fried clam strips, fish, chicken hearts, ribeyes, ground sirloin, fresh lobster meat, and spicy jerky. The place is small, so going early provides first pick of the freshest meat, which is cut within the last 24 hours, vacuum sealed, and placed in a refrigerator. Next to this are sides like pasta salads and homemade cretons. The majority of products are in the freezer section. The quality is incredible, with meats described as tender and phenomenal. The prices are very competitive, if not better, than local stores. Customers are so impressed they are willing to travel for their meats and plan to be back for more, keeping an eye on Facebook for package info. The spicy jerky is also noted as delicious.
I always get my meat package here, it's reasonably prices and always happy with the meat quality. I don't buy meat in grocery store anymore.
