Good selection and friendly help. Probably everybody knows by now that the prices everywhere including the dollar stores have gone way up. it's not really a dollar store in the strictest sense of the word anymore, but they do have store brands of a lot of things at relatively good prices.

I normally have nothing bad to say about family dollar but my experience with the 2 women working tonight was dreadful and I will gladly not be returning. The cashier I dealt with had a name tag with the name Kylee R and the other lady was a bit on the older side and I’m assuming she is the manager (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) both workers were unbelievably disrespectful and rude. Not gonna get into the nitty gritty details bc I already did that on the report I made but if I were any of y’all id do everything in my power to avoid the family dollar in Mars hill Maine. I’ve worked in customer service for a long time before this and I would have NEVER spoke to a customer the way these women spoke to my mother and I. You should feel ashamed and embarrassed oh and not to mention the cashier (Kylee) had one of her friends starring at me through the window and giving me the finger multiple times. Lmao for “adults” y’all need to grow the hell up and learn how to be a real customer service worker

Store dirty, aisles cluttered, can't go thru with a cart, employees either playing on cell phone or outside huddled sending smoke signals .

TLDR: AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST. THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY INNAPROPRIATE.
The emoloyees running this location specifically Caleb and his female manager whom i spike with tonight. I have lived in Aroostook County, Maine for 4 years and often stop at this location on my way home from work almost every day.
Tonight, I was standing by my partner as he purchased one small box of tobacco rolling cones. Caleb requested ID from both my partner and I despite my having nothing to do with the transaction. We immediately gave ID and then stood for 5 entire minutes while Caleb just held the IDs in silence, completely unresponsive to our many, many inquiries as to what the issue was.
His manager approached, and I asked for her assistance. The cashier with the tag Caleb seemed to be unable to hear us and had been peeking through shelves at us the entire time we chose our merchandise. I was very relieved to see the older woman as I was beginning to worry about his health.
The manager, however, stated I looked nothing like my ID. She said I'm much too overweight to be that girl, and it's just a fact that I'm too big to match my validation. I gave many other forms and explained that I'm not purchasing anything requiring and ID, but the whole experience was a nightmare.

I would typically have good things to say about this store. Overall great group of employees but they seem to be changing to different people and whoever closed tonight closed the doors early. when the signs say open til 9 as does the website. So the employees should have the door open until 9. It’s a small town and it makes a difference five minutes or not .

i want to say thank you to the manager sue anthory of the mars hill branch,,,i lost my credit cardand bank card there and she took the time to find them and she did, i was so thankful for her concern and help ,,,,,she is truely a big asset to the store,,thank you aain sue
