This is a wonderful gallery with mostly local artists and local themes. Many beautiful art pieces, both original and reproductions. The staff is friendly, engaging, and helpful. Don’t miss going upstairs, too. Many great pieces there, too. Also has a modest book section featuring local writers and artists.

I immediately gravitated to the piece I ended up buying. The owner wrapped the painting quite securely, ensuring it survived travel.
The recipient of this gift loved it.
If you are on the island and like Maine and costal art, I would reccomend you take the time to visit.

The quality of art is much better than most galleries anywhere in the U.S., and the prices are reasonable. Many of the pictures are very good examples of the scenery that attracts people to Monhegan.
