“Office itself does an excellent job. Staff are friendly and want to help. The route people leave something to be desired. Will stuff packages in box that don’t fit without damaging. I’m 1/4 mile from my mail box and not once has a package been delivered to my place despite carriers supposed to be doing so. I added a PO Box for unrelated reasons and as I’ve said above, the office staff are wonderful and never had trouble with my packages there.”

“If you happen to be on foot on Main Street downtown Damariscotta, there is a delightful post office there beside Waltz Soda Fountain, but the parking is scarce during Summer and traffic from cars and pedestrians challenging. If you have a car, consider going to the station in Newcastle that has plenty of parking and very short lines for most of the day. The clerk is just as friendly here.”

“I really appreciate my postal delivery person. I got a delivery from Amazon that included a HEAVY case of dishwasher detergent. He brought the packages and my mail to my deck instead of leaving them near the mailbox which is more than 40 ft from the deck.”
