Called and they had what my Nephew, a licensed electrician needed. I was able to go right down and pick up the items . The owner was very Accommodating. I called my nephew do he could talk directly to him in order to make sure my nephew got exactly what he needed. Will definitely be going back again . They had on the shelf what other supply companies did not have. This is your place to get what you need in a timely and friendly manner.

I'm not a contractor that has a fleet of service trucks. It's just little 'ole me trying to find out why my 100 amp breaker keeps tripping. The owner treated me like I was a valued customer and was a huge help. Such a refreshing experience.

Came in today to rent out a wheelchair for my sister , $35/week ; $80/month to rent them The lady that helped me was SUPER nice ! She filled out the paperwork quickly , she showed me how to use the wheelchair , how to put on the rest for the feet , how to close it & all the good stuff . The place looks very clean , the wheelchairs are covered with a plastic bag to maintain them in good condition . Parking wasn't hard to find , I imagine because it's still early . They close 12-1PM for lunch . I recommend this little business , the price is great

Great family business! Super friendly and helpful. Great price. Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend. We needed to rent a wheel chair because Grandma was visiting for one week and one day. Their rate is $35/week. When picking up the chair, they didn't charge me for the extra day. At the end of the visit, I went to the shop after dropping Grandma at the airport. It was 9:30am, but I read the sign and realized the hours were 10am-5pm. The owner saw me outside and cheerfully opened the shop. Such a nice experience. Thank you Oakland Medical Supply!!!

Family owned for a couple generations and top notch. This place has got things available in stock that are hard to find elsewhere when you need them. And their knowledge of what they carry is amazing. Only four stars? You might find what you want for less money if you've got the time to hunt for whatever it is, and then wait to get it. I'd rather do business here.

I needed to rent a wheelchair for my grandmother and the staff here made it extremely quick and easy. Very affordable pricing and they took the time to show me how to use the chair. Highly recommend them and I will be using their services again in the future.

Cannot recommend highly enough! I used to have a reasonable source to rent a wheelchair from for concerts & other events that entail way too much walking for my moderately disabled self. It was an online Co./ App, "BeOmni.com. Now they only offer customer pick-up in South San Francisco,or somewhere too far to make it convenient for me, but I would try them if I lived in SF. So I went online, read several reviews & decided to try these folks even though they're way out in Oakland's Chinatown & I'm in Berkeley. I believe it's a family business. A young man (I believe the son of the woman who is typically there,) answered my call & could not have been kinder, more helpful & patient with me as I had several questions. When I went down there it was easy enough to pick the chair up, despite a severe shortage of street parking in Chinatown, the man said "everyone double-parks," but there is a white loading zone (for loading people,) in front, & a disabled spot on the corner of their block, I've now rented a lightweight "push" wheelchair from them 3 times, & each time it has been a brand new chair, in the factory plastic! They do only rent for a week minimum, but w/ them only charging $35 per week it's a STEAL. (Call around to other local medical supply places. They're far more expensive for DAILY rentals!) I typically only need a chair for a day or 2, but its so nice to have the option of keeping it for a week. They are very warm, flexible & even accommodating if you're running a few minutes late & let them know, They remembered me & gave me excellent service each time. Check them out if you need help w/ renting or buying durable medical equipment! Definitely 5 stars!
