“Im dont really eat a lot of candy, but since i was in the area I thought Id check this place.out. They have a few.different vegan sample boxes. I got the petite vegan . I dont know what regular candy boxes cost, but this was $30. The largest vegan sample box is $50. It was twice the size of mine I dont eat a lot of candy so what I got was way more than enough. That being said, after I ate a couple of pieces I noticed there was another whole layer underneath. Anyway, it was nicely packed in a nice box with a ribbon and fancy lil bag with cloth handles. So this would probably make a really nice gift for a vegan the used to love these fancy candies before they went vegan. I think they even do shipping. If you come here ,its in a cute little town for walking around. Theres a decent size pay parking lot around the back and down a hill. Oh yeahhh....... I wish it had the lil chocolate guide chart in the box like some candy boxes do, now I have to poke and lick all the bottoms before I share with anyone. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-16”
“Do not go here.
You will return often. You will buy and consume far too much sugar.
And you will enjoy every minute of it.
This is the kind of place where you notice something new each time. It's a lot to take in all at once.
And you will find yourself saying, "I didn't know they still made that!" a lot. So much fun!”

Candy Stores
“I love visiting this shop. It is family owned and they are super friendly. When you have a question about a product, they have the answer. Quite the variety of all sorts of candies, taffies, fudge, etc. I dealt with the daughter today when I was there and she was such a sweetie. I'll be back in November when I'm in Maine visiting family and friends.”
“This is a amazing place to go for candy and ice cream great service and is in a great place with good fudge
Kid-friendliness: Very nice to kids”
“My husband and I love dark chocolate, we enjoy finding stores to pick our own. Last year while in Maine we found this store and came home with delicious chocolate. We stopped in this year and found the place unchanged. Same friendly staff, same items for sale and took home another $50 worth of candy. It is expensive but tastes very good. I tried their salt water taffy this year and shared it with my coworkers at the office. We all loved the flavors.”
“I've been to a few different Lindt shops and this one was nice. The little cafe in the back has a limited beverage menu. The best part was the woman working - she was very sweet, helpful, and seemed to genuinely love the chocolates.”
“Great candy store. Wide selection. Good variety not found in other stores in town, but no fudge, so sorta a give and take. I would recommend visiting all candy stores for the best options. But as a general rule, sugar shack is best for more modern candy, however you interpret that. Solid candy store. Hope they stay in business.”
“The Candy Man is a candy store in the heart of Kennebunkport. My husband and I visited this store a few times during our visit to town. It was quite popular and often crowded. There is a great variety of offerings and all of the chocolates we had were delicious. We will return!”
“Super cute, quaint candy store. Despite the space being small, they had a whole lot to offer. We had some taffy and assorted chocolates, which tasted delicious!! Prices made sense for the area, and tastiness of these treats made it worthwhile.”
