My wife and I always enjoy walking along the coast on the Marginal Way walkway. The flowers and breathtaking coastal views are spectacular.

Pretty but definitely not a photographer's dream. Just a few rocks and the ocean and a nice paved walk. If you go, park at the north end, as the south end of Marginal Way is at Perkins Cove, which is a highly congested tourist walking area. Parking is free at north end. Parking at south end is anywhere from $20 to $30, and hard to find one. Personally would not go back.

Safe, beautiful mile plus pathway along the Atlantic coast! Breathtaking views, with beautiful homes, guest houses, hotels, and gardens. Easy walk, with intermittent areas to sit, enjoy the views, and take photos!

BEAUTIFUL. I’ve seen beaches all over southern states and Caribbean. So I was surprised that this view can give them a run for their money.
It’s hard to find street parking (a hot Friday in July) but worth it if you can. Or the view simply from the mini-lighthouse is great too.

there is not much to say, it's there, it's the topic of the Maine shore line. You don't want to miss it, or walk it. The sightseeing is beautiful.

This was my early morning walk while vacationing at the Beachmere. They have a couple of entrances to the way and it was perfect. Mostly walkers in the early hours but a few joggers, too. Everyone seems polite if you want to pass or need to be passed. Beautiful houses and scenery to see. You can even walk to the restaurants in Perkins Cove if you want to!

The Marginal Way is one of my favorite places to visit. I don't think I've ever visited Ogunquit and not walked it at least once! The Marginal Way is the most beautiful walk along the cliffs and ocean. We were fortunate that the day we visited there was some sort of painting competition going on and there was artists set up all along the way painting their view of the beautiful scenery there.

So happy we stopped here! We enjoyed walking the Marginal Way by the water. Town looked cute but spent the majority of our time down on the Walkway. It was a beautiful September day and views were amazing. Easy walking for everyone to enjoy. Definitely worth your time to stop here. Plenty of public metered parking and a few "free" spots if you arrive early enough.

An Oceanside walk in Ogunquit. The walk is paved and has several benches to stop and sit and admire the ocean views. It was a bit crowded. There are several entry points along the path, which is a nice option if you do not want to walk the entire path. Definitely a must do .

The Marginal Way is a local wonder. I feel so lucky to live close by to this walking path cut right into the rocks. The views are fantastic and the path connects Perkin's Cove down to Ogunquit beach main entrance. I got engaged to my fiancé on this walking path! If you find yourself in the area do yourself a favor and visit the Marginal Way. Wonderful landscaping and many benches are placed alongside the walk and curves around the landscape to give a great view of Ogunquit Beach and the river mouth. The path is paved and wide enough for handicap needs.

A lovely walk in Ogunquit to see the cove and enjoy views of the Ocean. Even when we're not staying in the area we make a point to stop at the marginal way. I walked it fully for the first time on the hottest day of the year so far and wished for shade but they are actively working on adding trees and shrubs to provide some shelter. Love this path!

A nice walking path. Quite pleasant and all can for the most part do this. If up to me, there would be a treacherous one by the rocks. Yet for conservation purposes, it's probably this flat for that reason. There are flowers for people to enjoy, but admittedly my eyes were focused on the ocean. Also where the waters had overtaken the jagged rugged rocks. It's a good way to get some views in. Also it does lead to steps on a beach. Water was 59 degrees, so that didn't happen. You can use streets to get back to main parking areas, or simply turn around on this think it's a 1/2 mile hike. There are some benches, to just get lost in the view of miles of endless ocean. If in the area, it's worth taking this quick hike.

What an absolutely beautiful walk along the ocean. Easy for all types of people, it is nicely paved with some areas of incline and then descent. We took our toddler and she walked some, and rode in the stroller for other parts. Beautiful views of the ocean and houses. Parking is kind of expensive, we parked in a lot for $20. The town is also very cute with several restaurants and small shops.

What an incredible 1.25 mile walk and trail and views and friendly people and oops ?, sorry!A well maintained trail with incredible views of Ogunquit's coast, Perkin's Cove and Lobster Point Lighthouse. Beautiful houses and hotels align on on side with benches and memorials to sit or to read. Variety of birds, flowers ? and trees to stroll past. Accessible to the handicapped ♿ and baby ? strollers. There are a number of hills on the trail. Pets are not allowed between April and August.Jim O'Donnell has a very informative review of the Marginal Way.One end of the "This is the Way" is near where Google Maps says it is, 23 School Street. There is a parking ?️ lot close to that location. The Google Maps entrance is actually next to Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort. The other end ? is on Perkins Cove. The center is at Lobster Point Lighthouse on Sterns Road. Limited, but free ?, three hour parking ?️. Another access point is at Isreal Head Rd, but, there is no parking available. There are multiple areas to walk down to the ocean ?. Swimming is discouraged due to strong currents and no lifeguards.Donation boxes are at both ends and the center. Yes, I made a contribution!I highly recommend this walk. We walked back and forth in over an hour. My friend, she liked it. My son must have enjoyed it, he high fived people on the walk.
