January 2024 by Jane E.
Actually, there were many problems with our stay. We did not report any at the time as the girl in the office was very nice but alone and not only were none of the issues her fault, but clearly there was nothing she could have done to correct anything. She did say that there was a phone number on our door for after-hours assistance but there was no number in our door or in the room anywhere. Judging by many poor reviews I have now read by previous guests it seems unlikely that these issues would have been taken care of anyway as most haven't been in prior complaints going back a long time. The first issue was finding thick, caked dirt and dust on the lamps in the room, the outlets and worst of all on the front of the A/C unit. Although we weren't going to be using A/C in January it's still an unacceptable amount of dust to see in a room. Secondly, and the worst of the housekeeping issues was found the next morning of our stay - BLOOD all over the mattress cover and down the side of the dust ruffle right near the head of the bed. BEYOND unacceptable. Pictures of all the above are below. Next issue is after the first 10-15 minutes in the room, the WiFi never worked again the entire stay. Also the TV cut out constantly on every channel showing a "tuning failure" error. Unable to get through any show for more than a few minutes without this constant disruption. Again, pictures below showing this. Still more issues - we chose to pay more for this "suite" specifically for the advertised fireplace. There is no fireplace in that room, there is a decorative light designed to look like fireplace but with no actual flames or heat. Very deceptive. Lastly, according to your website we were charged a resort fee. This is supposed to cover use of the pool, outdoor hot tub, fitness center, lawns, outdoor seating, live entertainment in the on-site pub (there is no pub!) and parking. The very next paragraph starts with the words "parking is included with your stay". HOW is it possible to charge a guest for something that you also say is included? With the exception of the fitness center which we never saw or were told about, we had access to NONE of the other things.

When checking in the Guest Service girl was very rude and snarky. Shower curtain looked like it had never been changed, had mold on it as well as a part of the tub along with pubic hair inside tub. Carpet was sticky and wet - we wore shoes the entire time when moving around the room. Why didn't we move??? Good Question - but we had already paid over 800$ for three nights and knew we wouldn't get our money back. Looks good from outside but not inside the rooms. BEWARE! Check rooms before staying.Location was the only thing good about this place.

We spent a couple of off-season nights here. The room was clean and convenient for our car. We only dealt with two persons, and it seemed in late October that the inn was mostly empty--which was fine with us.

The check-in staff were friendly and the room looked OK but it went downhill from there. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I didn't sleep a wink. There were cobwebs hanging above the bed. The carpet was stained. The curtains didn't close all the way, letting in light at night. The A/C didn't work and kept the room stuffy. The TV volume didn't work. The tile in the bathroom was coming off. Overall, it felt like a really cheap, neglected hotel.

I would recommend staying here. Rooms are decent size. We had a balcony suite with king bed. Room was clean, tub/shower was a decent size. Bathroom was big. Overall a good experience. We’ll be back.Rooms: Clean, good size, friendly staff. We tried to take advantage of early check in but like most places, staffing was an option and they were doing their best. Totally understandable.Nearby activities: Tons of things to do in the area.

The whole area is way overpriced for what you actually get. WiFi didn’t always work. No breakfast. It was decently clean. The room is very large. There were lots of people and dogs and it was pretty quiet. Didn’t like people smoking outside their rooms. Staff was very nice. Beds were pretty comfy.

The room and bathroom were large. The beds were comfortable. There was good water pressure in the shower and instant hot water. Although the air conditioning unit worked, it should be upgraded to better handle the size of the room. The pool is lovely and huge. The hot tub was large too with great jets. Our stay would have been great, however, the overly chlorinated water ruined my new LL Bean bathing suit, by bleaching out the navy blue color. This is unacceptable and upsetting. Be aware of this before using these facilities. Otherwise, we would recommend this motel to others.Nearby activities: There are a good number of restaurants and some cute shops fairly nearby. Beaches are not too far away.

This place is perfect. A beautiful, clean room with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. We were given a list of restaurants by the front desk, every one we visited was great. Location is fantastic, just a mile from the beach and downtown. Great price too in my opinion. No need to look for another place for our next visit to ogunquit :)

Just average. No "Wow!" factor, if that's what you're looking for. The typical over-priced accommodation in the typical Maine seaside town. I grew up there and return often on day trips, so I am familiar with the area. Check-in was fast, but matter-of-fact, with a quickly mumbled script. The main entrance door to the 'suites' does not lock, so anyone can walk into that area. The 'kitchenette' is a mini-frig and a coffee pot. There is no decaf anywhere on the property. Plenty of hot water and enough to burn ya, so be careful. One tiny bottle each of private label shampoo and conditioner await you upon arrival. That's it. Lots of noise from the road all day and all night in the 'suites'. The walls and floors are pretty thin, so expect some noise from typically oblivious fellow guests who think they are alone on the property. If you don't expect a lot these days of a 'hotel' (this place is a actually a motel) for $200 a night, then you probably won't care. This was our first stay here. We will not be returning to this property.

If you enjoy sleeping on airplanes, you may luck out and get an AC unit that sounds like you are cruising at 35,000 feet above sea level. I had to look up fundamental frequency from physics class back in the day because I could feel the noise reverberating through my bones. The view could have been better due to the lack of natural light. We felt a bit like Jesse Pinkman trying to evade a bad fate. The bathroom light was great at least so the ladies could get ready before dinner. All in all it was a fine hotel with good proximity to downtown. Our room just had some entertaining quirks that gave us some good laughs.

Just stayed here. Had an enjoyable stay. So professional. Rooms were super nice. Comfortable beds and a large room. They had even bigger rooms which I could have lived in. Fireplace, jacuzzi , large sitting area. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon . The pool and hot tub were great additions to this property also.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location, comfortable and clean 2-bedroom suite, huge nice pool and hot tub. Friendly and helpful hotel staff including Dre and Isabel. We would definitely stay here again!

Was very unhappy with the room that we had . We were there for 7 days and actually left a day early to the cleanliness of the room. We booked our room online, and it stated we had a suite with a kitchenette. We had nothing in our room but two queen beds and air-conditioning and also a small frig. The floor was so dirty that it made your feet black and also my 2 year old grand daughters feet. The room was not even clean upon our arrival ?. We love going to Maine, but overall, it was a big disappointment for us. We couldn't stop thinking about where we were staying. Every morning when we woke up to start our day, we would have trash right out in front of our door, which was very unpleasant. Don't go there very unhappy with this place.

Been frequenting this place for years. Nice add gas grills outside to good on that being said they are dirty and so are the utensils hotel provides. Also garbage sat there for two days.. My son and I cleaned it up. In the interest of flies and maggots. Granted folks should clean up after themselves. Should have a larger garbage can stationed out there.
