Credit card reader at pump won’t recognize your card but will lock it in the reader and not let go for awhile

Put 20$ worth of regular gas in and my truck started acting up...3-4 miles down the road...ended up having to be towed home...never had any issues with the gas from this place before...hopefully it was just a fluke
