Used ABC for two household, cross-country moves in recent months. They were a responsive, thorough, reliable and 100% professional organization. Great to work with and would highly recommend to others.

Disappointed with the service. The move out process I should add was lovely. Moving in however- crew was 3.5 hours late with no calls. I had to call the sales office three times before anyone got back to me. Crew arrived, not happy to be there. All were complaining about how much they worked that week. Boxes were just stacked in garage, though labeled and expectation was they were to be placed in proper room. Heavy items were literally left in garage as close to door as possible- had fun moving those things ourselves. Bed wasn’t rebuilt as I was told it would be. Kitchen table was left in garage, not built back together. Other things that were taken apart were scattered all over different rooms. Broke a 60” tv and insurance replacement value was a joke (insulting). No follow up until I had to ask for someone to call. Really a shame. I used a “fancy” moving company to avoid this. We are settled in now, but for the cost and how they market themselves, it was a joke.

We moved across country, returning to Maine from Washington State. Our belongings were to be stored for some time as we were building a house in Maine and renting in the interim. Our moving company passed our belongings to ABC Moving in Portland, Maine where they went into storage. After two months of not hearing from ABC about charges for the storage I called and was told they were "waiting for the paperwork." After another month I called again and was told by a hostile clerk that they were "working on it." I explained that I didn't want to get hit with a large past due bill for months of storage, and also worried that if there was a problem they would sell our items. After four months I called again and was told that they had not sent me a bill because they had no contact information for me in their computer! When the day finally came for them to deliver our belongings the driver showed up with his usual partner and "Ty" who claimed he was also a driver but just waiting for his truck to be ready the next day and he had offered to help out.For the next 10 hours "Ty" spent his time talking incessantly, confusing the numbers on boxes and items as they came in to be checked off, and generally slowing the entire process down so it took two and a half hours longer than scheduled (for which we had to pay). He was so disruptive the lead driver and his partner took "Ty" aside and reprimanded him.As they finished the move in we realize the load was missing an antique tall case clock and a piano. At this point the crew left without finishing the paperworkWe spent the next three weeks calling an e-mailing ABC's manager to find out where the items were and when they would be delivered. We were told they didn't know where the items were, then told they did know. Then they wouldn't commit to a delivery date for those two items. Finally, three weeks later, the clock and piano were found and delivered. We put in a claim for items that had been damaged (oh yes, there was damage), and they sat on that claim for nearly four months before submitting it to insurance.I understand the owner of ABC Moving managed to unload the business and it's now another corporate entity. However, many of the same people are still there and seem to be maintaining the usual lack of work ethic we experienced in dealing with them.Unless you're prepared for a goat rodeo, this is one to avoid.

Lost some of our belongings, not returning calls, quite disorganized. Filing a report with better business bureau. Too bad, they seemed great at first but once they had our money it was another story. Don’t recommend.

I used this moving company through seniorsneed.club and Tyler Bryant, who has a partnership with them. I had a contract complete with a quote for a move from my apartment and storage unit to my new home. This contract included 2 trucks and 4 men. Came time for the move, 4 men show up with 1 truck an hour late. It took them 5 hours to empty an 1120 sq foot apartment and an additional 3 hours to unload, repack and reload the truck and empty my storage unit, which was already packed from the first move. Everything was delivered to my new home the next day. They were paid the quoted amount. During the course of the move, an expensive leather sleeper couch was scraped up and damaged, glass over a piece of art was shattered and various other pieces of furniture were banged up and scratched. I went back to Tyler in addition to John Kane (mover rep) with pictures of the damage which was also noted by the movers during the actual move. They were to arrange to have the damages repaired. After weeks of unanswered texts, emails and phone calls to Tyler (since I could not reach anyone at the movers), I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and finally got a response from the moving company. They "claimed" that I owed them more money because they underestimated the move and the time it took and that they would be happy to repair what I needed once they were paid. Partner Tyler had stated that he worked out an arrangement with the movers: they would not receive any more money and they would make the repairs because I never got my 2nd truck and it had taken extra time to unload and reload the truck. I have seen or heard NOTHING from both the moving company as well as Tyler Bryant after his last email to me washing his hands of all of this. These are both SERVICE businesses!!!! Beware and do your due diligence for both this mover as well as his partner Tyler in seriorsneed.club.

they not only scheduled me 5 days after my move in date to deliver my furniture to my new apartment, they then couldn't find my stuff in their warehouse and I have been waiting an additional 2 days so far. I have called and called and received no help, not even a decent apology. They are incompetent and unresponsive, avoid them!!

0 stars. They broke my entire set of bedroom furniture and other stuff. Very unprofessional. Have been trying to resolve for months. They continue to stall and blame me, the customer for their delays because their agent went on vacation.

I worked directly with Ashley Jensen. She was very professional, and attentive to my needs! I recommend this business for any of your moving needs!! I would not hesitate about having them assist with any moves I may have in the future.

Worst customer service experience in my life!Move happened in June 2021. 50 items missing from our “bingo card”. It’s now 8 months later and after multiple calls and many telling us “we’re working on it and we’ll get back to you”…no resolution. John the GM, could not care less.Gas grill starter also broken in the move leaving the grill inoperable. Submitted a claim for this in August with guarantee response of “7-10 business days”. February 10th we get a reply that a $10 credit will be given.Do yourself a favor and NEVER hire this company to do a move for you.

Quite a few items missing and too many items to count that were broken. My boxes and furniture were not treated with care. I purchased the extra insurance but they still won't honor the damage they did. Not impressed.

The crew that wrapped my furniture and picked up my goods - David, Jeanette, and Ian - was very professional, quick, and helpful. They worked efficiently as a team and took very good care to wrap my furniture carefully. I was very positively impressed. I've called to inquire about the status of my belongings, and Ashely in the office has been very considerate and helpful. I feel very confident entrusting my belongings to these folks.

A team of untrained party kids who were doing shots on the job, pried furniture apart, dropped things down the ramp, gashed walls, didn’t wrap things or lift properly, etc descended on my house to make what should’ve been a 2 day move fit in to one day. Things that were supposed to go upstairs went downstairs, we found broken things, hardware was lost, and the foreman spent 15 min puking in my bathroom. Their management didn’t care and in fact, their claims coordinator was one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever encountered.

Moving is stressful. If you choose to hire a professional moving company then you are putting your trust in complete strangers without much of an idea of who is going to show up at your home. The four people who showed up at our house to handle our move are exactly the people you hope for. Arthur, Ashley, Brittany, and Chris were incredible. They were professional, positive, and possessed a work ethic that would be exceedingly difficult to surpass. Problems that I anticipated, they handled with ease. It was an enormous job and they made sure everything was handled to our satisfaction. I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciated them and how lucky Allen & Coles is to have them represent the company. They did a phenomenal job.

Chris and John were excellent. Brains and muscle and a lot of patience with my challenge of what to move in and what to store in garage. Thank you so very much for the services with our moving day in the rain !
