We didn't rate Allied higher because we were disappointed with 1) push back on the delivery and 2) the packing. When the driver called to confirm the loading, he said the delivery date would be outside the delivery window that the representative had promised. That earlier delivery window was the reason we selected Allied over competitors. It was only when I offered to show the driver the contract with the delivery window that he agreed to deliver our items on the last date of our delivery window.Also, we paid to have our fragile items and kitchen packed by professionals because those were the items we were most worried about breaking. But many of our pieces of furniture have new scrapes, scuffs, and even dents in the surfaces from the move, which was disappointing. In addition, some art had been stacked together without paper separating them and we also had furniture that had been disassembled, like our foosball table, that wasn't put back together by the crew. They were supposed to have put that together and never returned to do so, requiring us to spend hours putting that and other items back together. I know things can go wrong during a move, but for the $11,000-plus we paid, I expected it to go more smoothly.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever witnessed. We were misled and outright lied to and incurred thousands of dollars in additional expense because this company will tell you whatever they need to in order to get your money then not fulfill their contract.

Chose Allied for a cross country move (Oregon to Maine) as I had used them previously and expected the same level of service I previously experienced. Approximately 25%-30% of my things are lost/missing. The furniture that was delivered all sustained damage. White furnishings are now stained various colors and look like they were placed behind a truck exhaust pipe and left there. There are black marks and handprints all over. My mattress was completely destroyed- both ripped and structurally ruined. Some items appear as though they were dragged across a warehouse as the upholstery is worn and blackened. My bamboo desk looks like some took a claw hammer and dragged it back and forth across the top, and then pounded it down for good measure. Boxes that were delivered were slashed open, crushed inward, and generally look like no care was taken whatsoever. Some boxes were resealed with different packing tape, which means that they were opened by Allied.This was not an inexpensive service. I was charged a premium and received the worst level of service I could have expected. I called and spoke with multiple reps to ask that they speak to me before charging my credit card, as the loss and damage far exceeds the moving fee. Not one rep told me that they had already billed my card before they even delivered (some) of my things.Absolutely the worst move experience and the customer service experience has been brutally poor as I try to get Allied to help me with the situation. They billed my credit card without even telling me and delivered a horrible service, leaving me sleeping on a damaged couch and eating off paper plates, all for the low low price of $17k.Shop around and if you take a chance with this group make sure that you have plenty of insurance coverage. Do not send anything with them that you care about or cannot replace. Bags of garbage on trash day are treated with more care than this “professional” moving service treated my things.

Our move was a few days delayed due to mechanical issue. The company worked hard to correct the problem. Our quote was accurate, and the movers were professional and did an Excellent Job picking up and dropping off. I give this company and all its employees 5 Stars (more stars if available) and would recommend Allied to anyone that needs a hassle free professional out of state move.

From my inquiry on-line, to Chad who came out to give me the estimate, to Crystle in the office who processed everything , to the guys loading my stuff, to the guys unloading my stuff.... everyone was AWESOME! I can't say enough great things about Allied. They exceeded my expectations!!
