One of my very favorite places for breakfast\brunch. Great diner atmosphere and even better food.

Host is rude, like he's disappointed you even showed up to eat at the place where he works. Was told 15-20 mins for a table, so walked across the street to grab a small cup of coffee. Called me in like 5 minutes later, and the second I opened the door he jumped on me about having an outside coffee in my hand.Waitress was nice. Food was fine. Nothing to write home about. The home fries have absolutely no seasoning at all on them.Probably won't return or take out of town folks here, if for no other reason than it just is an unwelcoming vibe.

Very bad experience with the host there, he was rubbing his nose and smelled like he just walked in from a butt break, which is probably what happened becaude while we were there we saw him go out for cigarettes in between taking peoples info. Strange behavior. He was very short, and acted like he was incredibly inconvenienced for being at his job? Not sure what his problem was. The food was okay compared to the past times I’ve been there, but what stuck out to me the most was how gross everything was. The table was sticky and our silverware was grey with a weird film. The hot sauces were crusty, and my plate had something stuck to the bottom of it. The kids attitude coupled with the nasty silverware really made for a disappointing experience.

The food was really good. The staff seemed hell-bent on freezing us out. Three tables asked to have the door shut. She responded by saying they needed the airflow. I don't think we will be going back.

This place is exactly what I was looking for after a weekend in Portland visiting breweries. The service was fast and friendly and all of our food was delicious. We had the Cajun Scramble and Sausage Scramble along with the cornbread. There were three of us so we each tried a different flavor as they have blueberry, plain, and jalapeño cheddar. You could tell everything was cooked to order and prepared well. The dining room is active with workers and customers and the walls are colorful and decorated with local art. I would definitely return when back in the area.

I just went in to this establishment and I this was my first time in there. I ordered a ham bacon onion and mushroom omelette and it came with home fries which were more like big chunks of burnt potatoes, and I ordered a side of Polish sausage which they came out and I don’t think they were even 2 inches long and they were absolutely terrible. The food was absolutely terrible and I got the bill and it was $30.18. This meal wasn’t worth $10, I regret not just going in town to Becky’s where I know the breakfast results fantastic

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning in October and had one of our best breakfasts ever. We sat at the counter and received immediate attention. We had the homemade corned beef hash breakfast with eggs over easy, grits and grilled biscuits and the huevos rancheros with scrambled eggs with a 50/50 blend of meat/bean chili and added chorizo. The dishes were excellent and the huevos flavors were haunting with a nice level of spicy kick. If you desire more spice, they had 3 hot sauces available table side. We will keep this restaurant in our must visit list.

Finally stopped just driving by and had late brekky today. A cool throwback vibe atmosphere with super friendly and competent service staff and very good chefs! I had the Cajun Scramble (eggs, cheese, Andouille sausage and jalapeno peppers with rice and beans and cornbread. Very tasty and perfectly prepared. Such nice cornbread. A little on the spicy side due to their pedigree so order carefully! But this place beats most of the standard breakfast menu places out there so if you want a place that is low fi, funky, friendly and you are looking to treat your taste buds, rock up here. I've now gotta go back for the Jambalaya and Gumbo! Thank you Bayou Kitchen.Parking: plenty on the side streets, no long walking needed.

This place is the absolute best!!!! There is never a wait, the food is delicious and fast, and the service is always lovely. I 100% recommend this place if you're in town over the spots downtown that have a 1.5 hour wait.
