Incredible trip! We will absolutely stay here again and look for other Lark properties in our future travels. The staff was very attentive, the property was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. Walking distance to downtown for shopping and dinner and we grabbed breakfast two blocks away the next morning. You could feel the attention to detail and hospitality throughout the stay from the concierge reaching out ahead of our arrival, the high quality interiors, welcome note/recommendations and gift when we arrived, complimentary drinks and snacks, etc. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Definitely > 5 ⭐️! Beautiful & comfortable old mansion turned boutique hotel. Rooms are great; lots of comfy public spaces to hang out in; always a nice fire going; and a small kitchen stocked w/ coffee, tea, snacks, etc. I think they said “toast & yogurt” available for breakfast … huge understatement … breakfast was fantastic! All the staff are super friendly / helpful! You’ll be glad you stayed here!

OMG! This place is PHENOMENAL!! Feels more like a very upscale BNB than a hotel- very unique and boutique. Our hostess, Nikki, is most gracious and fun - I now count her as our ‘friend in Maine’ - love our Nikki She had so many good recommendations that we will have to start planning our next visit now.? Can’t wait to come back!❤️Rooms: One of the loveliest rooms we’ve stayed in recently - “EVENT RECORDS”. Nice lounge area (in room, and several throughout property itself) with a log burning FP and a large bathroom. An actual LP record player with an extensive album collection to play - loved this!!Nearby activities: Live music venues abound - check Instagram or just ask Nikki ❤️Same with pubs, breweries, food stops and fun shops - too much to list. Come hungry and ready to adventure ??Walkability: A wonderful location - a nice 15-20min stroll to old town area shops. But honestly, so many neat pubs / restaurants within 5-20 minutes!Food & drinks: Breakfast treats provided 8-10am - delightful selection!Noteworthy details: Hostess - Nikki makes the experience even that much better! What’s already a great property, is now SUPERB.

we had a lovely two day stay at Blind Tiger on Carlton. The room was lovely! The staff was accommodating. The snack closet is bomb…and they lay out a beautiful breakfast. Would stay here again!

From the moment we walked in the door, we were wowed by this lovely house and staff. Nicolette was wonderful, showing us around and telling us about places to eat and see in the area. The entire time we were there we felt like we were staying in the most amazing house ever. I can’t wait to go back.

I can’t say enough good things about this property! My boyfriend and I only stayed here one night but we will definitely be back. From the amazing decor to the cozy bed, we loved everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful with local food and sight suggestions. The community kitchen with complementary snacks and drinks was such a nice touch. They even have a picnic set you can borrow which we took advantage of! The location and parking are great as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Blind Tiger! Truly my favorite hotel experience ever!

The property is absolutely stunning, fantastic location (15 min walk from anything), and you truly cannot beat the staff! They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. Additionally, their pantry of snacks and drinks is top-notch. Cannot wait to visit again!

I can't rave enough about this place! This was a last minute destination for my honeymoon and my husband and I still talk about our weekend here! We went during the gloomy end of March and still had the best time. The room was clean and charming and incredibly comfy. From the hallway to the entrance/exit, the uniqueness of each space just made you fall in love with the care and attention put into this B&B. There was a rainy night and we had a great time in the downstairs billiards room. It's in a great location walkable to the downtown strip of restaurants and tourist shopping. The breakfast was delicious and classy in a beautiful, quiet dining room. I have so many other pictures on my other phone but I had to give this place their well deserved flowers! If we didn't move 20+ hours away I would have visited again since our honeymoon but I tell all of our friends and family still up north to stop by!Nearby activities: It's so close to the downtown strip of restaurants and shopping, all by the marina. The ideal coastal colonial experience.Walkability: Maybe not walkable for everyone's preference but we love a small town walk to admire the local atmosphere.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast with every option between sweet and salty! So different from your standard continental hotel breakfastNoteworthy details: Each room is different and charming in their own way!

We have photographed a few wedding events in this space. It's a place we enjoy because it feels like that old regal West End Portland vibe. There are a lot of spots around the property that are inspiring to photograph. I recommend it to people when they ask for cool places they can stay when in town, and I've never even spent the night myself. It's a sure bet.

Beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Close to some amazing restaurants. The room we stayed in, Vanderbilt, was very comfortable and quiet.

My now wife and I stayed at Blind Tiger for our elopement weekend and were blown away by the unique decor, (the Event Records room had a record player with a connoisseur's selection of vinyl) extremely hospitable staff (who made sure our stay was extra special), and just overall welcoming atmosphere (the old speakeasy and bar were so cool). The toast bar was perfect for our fast breaking and the fireplaces set a perfect cozy scene (especially on the coldest day in Portland for decades!) 10/10 will be back for another staycation! Thank you Blind Tiger!!

Beautiful place, warm welcome and flawless service. Cold and raw in Portland and the fireplaces are warming us body and soul. Glad the Christmas trees are still up. We can walk to restaurants. Wonderful getaway for special occasions.

Cozy, stylish, and great location. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire in the beautifully decorated spaces. The breakfast and on demand snacks are great. Location is perfect to walk to many of Portlands outstanding restaurants. Staff is outstanding as always and always willing to offer local advice. Would give an extra star if I could. Will definitely be back.

When I envisioned a cozy winter getaway in Maine, I never could have imagined just how perfect our stay at Blind Tiger would be! It was everything I wanted and more, including the fireplaces in each guest room with unlimited firewood, the "secret" attic cupola that made a perfect spot for stargazing during a snowy evening, the constantly roaring fire in the cozy living room, and even the snack pantry that was stocked full of local baked goods, snacks and soft drinks--(free cold brew and Maine Root soda!!!) and I can't forget the yummy breakfast spread that was set out each morning with fresh baked goods, build-your-own bagel and oatmeal fixings, and fresh fruit. Those blueberry scones were so good! Blind Tiger was a perfect spot for exploring downtown Maine (5-15 minute walk or drive from all of the best spots). I will say, since this is a restored 1800s mansion, the creaky floors come with the territory, so if you are a light sleeper I would recommend booking a top floor room--we stayed in Green Eyes which was on the top floor and LOVED IT! It was spacious with a walk-in closet and large bathroom, and the decor was so calming. This is definitely one of the most romantic and cozy getaways we have been on--thank you for exceeding expectations! I can't wait to check out more of Lark Hotels properties.
