Expensive. I’ve been in both locations and everything is priced very very high. $165 for linen pants seems excessive.Return policy is truly terrible, store credit only. Not mentioned at checkout either, except tiny signs. Seemed bait and switchy.Staff was lovely and helpful. The saving grace for the 3 star review.

Disappointed with a recent experience. My sister and I have been shopping at Bliss for the past 15 years. We pretty much always gift each other gift cards or gifts from here as a special treat since it is an expensive store -- very loyal customers. Last year I spent $400 buying 2 pairs of open toe wooden clogs for my sister and I which turned out to be faulty products with a dangerous flaw (nail to the foot from the wooden clog) that I did not learn was faulty until spring when I could wear it for the 3rd-4th time. Bliss said there nothing they can do about it, sorry. Personally, I would have offered some sort of credit for selling a faulty product to a loyal long term customer rather than making them feel like their business/satisfaction was not important to me.

Hands down the most unprofessional online business I have ever had the unfortunate experience of interacting with. I returned the package to sender because it was an accidental order. Bliss Boutique has been ignoring my e-mails asking for a refund. They have had the item back unopened the entire time they have been ignoring my emails according to my tracking information. I left a voicemail saying if someone will not respond to me, I will open a PayPal claim. When they heard that, someone finally responded to me. They wrote back an obnoxious email alleging they do not have to refund me because the item was final sale and want to charge me a restocking fee of $20. I have never opened the package. I returned it to sender with documentation showing the package reached the merchant, and it was unopened. This is a straight forward return to sender. Now imagine trying to do a return with this business.

Although I am a man, and they do not sell clothes for men, my wife absolutely loves this place and has been a frequent customer even before they moved to this new, beautiful location on lower Exchange Street. It's such a beautiful boutique and the prices are absolutely fair for the uniqueness and quality of apparel. My wife is very picky, and almost always finds something super cool and hip to buy here. And they have two seats for partners to sit and wait! Five stars.

Incredibly disappointed with Bliss. Ordered a shirt and beautiful epice scarf on Nov. 29th via their website. I received an email on Dec. 5 saying the shipment was on its way. Checked today (Dec. 10) as to the shipping progress and saw that the order was canceled on Dec. 6, with absolutely no notice from Bliss. I think it is likely that they waited too late to box my order, and found that the items were sold out. Beware if you order anything online from Bliss, you may not actually receive what you ordered, and you will receive no explanation from the store. For a store where you can drop a fair amount of money (my order was north of $300), their customer service is sorely lacking. Will take my money elsewhere next time.

My favorite boutique in Portsmouth. Contemporary designer clothing and the staff are very helpful and kind. They carry a wide variety of CP Shades - my favorite clothing designer. What is most wonderful about this boutique is they keep me in mind and remember my style! Highly recommend! Please stop in!

Bliss is one of my top go to stores in Portland. I actively find reasons to treat myself in order to come here. The handmade jewelry is my guilty pleasure here, but they have everything from Frye boots to Spanx. The staff has always been helpful and kind. They often have GREAT sales which is super, considering their prices are very much retail value. Everything is high quality, and the venue has a cozy feel as opposed to the corporate department store vibe, which I really appreciate. I once broke the chain on my necklace that I had purchased here and they replaced it for me. My items from here always get a lot of compliments and are some of my favorite pieces! I do miss their David Aubrey collection and really wish they would bring more of it back, their jewelry options have somewhat dwindled since I first started going in here, but I never leave empty handed so... what does that tell you. Definitely worth a visit!

Great selection of denim and super helpful staff. I HATE shopping and trying on jeans at Bliss was great - I told the sales staff what I was looking for, they handed me four or five pairs, and then the hard part was picking which style looked best - which they also helped me with. Will go back again soon. There was a lot of cute stuff in the store.

I've shopped in Bliss a number of times and had pleasant experiences but recently had such a good one that I wanted to share! I went in looking for bandanas and they didn't have any that were exactly what I was looking for (what I'm looking for might only exist in my head, honestly) so Mallory offered to contact me when they received some new styles. Excellent customer service, I bought a dress and plan to go back and buy another one. The staff is attentive to everyone, even when there was quite a few customers roaming around. I appreciate the quality and the long term cost is worth it.
