“Yesterday when I was at the Dollar Tree (Northgate area) a woman named Pat helped me with something specific, and it took her away from the register. It didn’t bother her, even though she had other customers in line, and she was so nice and friendly. Seems like that is not the norm with customer service in general these days, so I just wanted to give her a shout out!”

“They are not the big one in South Portland so they don't carry everything your looking for. but if you are going over for a quick bite to eat for dinner you can put something together nicely. and I will say usually things fly off the self here but the shelves were mostly stocked which was good to see.”

“My second home I'm very glad that Portland Maine finally has a Dollar general I used to go to one in Florida Missouri when I was visiting my family and friends they have reasonably priced items saves a trip from going all the way to Walmart there's three ladies that work there they're very helpful Eve Heather and I don't know the other one's name she has long black hair all three of them have been very nice to me well I already know two of them but when I go in there I feel welcomed I don't feel like off the wall like a wallflower but if they're not super busy I know these three ladies will always be willing to help you and that's no joke I spend a lot of time at this place it fits my budget stop in sometime you'll see what I'm talking about Heather and Eve Will never let you down like I said if they they're not with a customer then ask them for your help they will be gladly to help you I know it's part of the job but otherwise in that they'll help you in any way they can”

“They are often filled with so many people. All the staff here are amazing and super nice and friendly. Always willing to help, whether it holding an item aside to pickup later that day (or tomorrow morning), or helping input a misbehaving coupon.Even though they're often overrun with customers (not all of them nice!), these ladies are so good under pressure with busy lines and (some) rude customers.Absolute props to those who work here. You're absolutely amazing, recognized, and so appreciated by many of the customers you help every day. I hope you don't ever forget that♥️♥️♥️❤The store itself is well-stocked and super organized and clean. It is always an enjoyable shopping experience, and they do their best to keep the lines quick and efficient, while still tending to everyone's individual questions and needs!”
