I had such high expectations when I saw those prominently displayed "sale-ALL" signs outside the Portland Fatface store. However, at the checkout, they made a point to clarify that the specific rack we shopped from wasn't included in the "all" category. It's quite puzzling and frustrating when the advertised promotion isn't consistent with the actual offerings, leaving customers feeling misled and questioning the integrity of the store's advertising.

This is a British clothing company with many locations in the US. At this point a significant percentage of the clothes I wear were purchased here. So, you can say I have been satisfied enough to return as a customer, repeatedly.I find the clothes to be of durable quality. Style is classic enough to be worn for more than one season and not feel out-of-style by the next year.Sizing is more true-to-size than most American brands. Even accounting for this, I feel t-shirts and Henley style shirts (for men) are tailored for a closer-to-the body fit.The Portland, ME store has hired a great staff. Friendly, helpful, professional.

This is one of my favorite stores ever! They're not cheap by any means but their clothes are good quality. I'm saving up for my next round of shopping here! The sales lady with the oriole hair was super nice and helpful! This will be one of my go-to stores next time I'm in Portland!

Went to return something online. Got charged again instead. Now out twice the money and no item. Not from the area and now have to drive 4 hours to get this handled. What a bummer

Nice quality! The polo shirt is slim cut and the material is comfortable soft cotton.

My husband and I went here while on our honeymoon in Maine. The staff was friendly and convinced me and my husband to each purchase a jacket. They were $140 each but they were good quality (or so we thought) so we didn't mind. Less than a month later my jacket ripped at the pocket. I contacted customer service within the one month return policy (I couldn't go back to the store because we live over 6 hours away). It has been OVER 2 MONTHS of going back and forth with customer service regarding a refund. A different person emails me back each time. I often receive a response and they don't know or have access to my previous messages. I have sent photos and bank statements pleading for a refund and am given excuses with each email I receive in return. One person told me I am not eligible for a refund (to which I sent back a screenshot of the one month return policy), another said their phone lines are down so they are unable to contact me to process the refund, another said I can try to go to the store to see if the store manager would help me. They have been terribly uninformed and useless. The whole process has been wildly unprofessional. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I have purchased much better quality products on Amazon for $40 and receive exceptional customer service every time. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the money and the headache- AVOID THIS BRAND AT EVERY COST.

Stopped in to FatFace on the night of Merry Madness, there was rumor of a Pim's cocktail, which turned out to be true, AND the best stop of the night! Amidst all of the celebration of the evening, I did end up browsing through the store and was really impressed by the quality and design of their clothing. There were at least three pieces that I am planning on returning to try and possibly, buy. Price point is on the high side, BUT these are unique pieces that would add a special touch to any wardrobe. The staff is great. Friendly, helpful and fun.

Was just in their new store in Camden, Maine, with my 11 yr old daughter who found the last dress in her size. One of the straps was torn lose, so when I brought it to the counter I asked if they could further discount the price (I'd just have it fixed). Two people behind the counter, one, I assume was the manager "in charge." Her response: "I don't see how I can take anything further off" (the item was on sale). I wasn't looking to get it for free, but if a customer is willing to purchase a damaged item in a store (my daughter really loved the dress and it was the last one), then it makes sense that the item would be discounted. So, the manager's logic was this: If the item was perfect, then I would have paid the sale price; if the item was damaged and I was willing to have it repaired on my own dime, then I would have to pay the SAME price. I think not. I offered to put it back and she replied, "Oh, no. I have to do a damage ticket on that." So rather than sell it, she's going to ship it back somewhere? I don't think that logic deserves my business. It also indicates what kind of service/consideration I'd get if there happened to be any problem with the quality of their clothing after the sale. Go to a store that has a common sense approach to customer service and avoid this one.

Great high quality clothing that looks great. Sure you get what you pay for, and everything I've bought from has lasted long and still has plenty of life left.
