Bad customer service, I rented for this location and I was charged twice for the same service. I’ve been calling nonstop to get this issue resolved and have not been given an answer.

Well all I can say is that we are disputing our toll charges currently. We were not informed about the device in our car! We brought our own sunpass. It did not register in Maine unfortunately. But we have yet to see the actual breakdown of each individual too road charge broken-down only a single charge of $74.95. I feel decepted and if I don't see the individual charges I will be speaking to attorneys.

I made a reservation to pick up a car at open, 9am, Monday morning. No one showed up to open the location. There were multiple people waiting to drop off/pick up cars. I canceled my reservation after missing a meeting. Feeling stranded I had to call an uber. Alan, the car cleaner/driver, was the only one trying to be helpful and kept apologizing but unfortunately there was nothing he could do. I won't use Hertz ever again. While dealing with this, no one at customer support was able to do anything for the lot of us at the location other than tell us we could go to another location and try to get a car there. We didn't have cars to get to any other location! Very poor experience all around.

i got a car from this location. the car had a funny smell and kept pulling to the right. upon returning the car it was cleaner and smelled better then when i received it. they are now calling at 2 pm. saying it has a bad smell in the vents, if i’m not there before 3 pm. to have it cleaned im being charged a cleaning fee. MIND YOU I LIVE AN HOUR AWAY.DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION.

Last week I reserved an Uber rental on Wednesday (6/14). When I drove into Portland to pick it up i was told that this location did not have any vehicles available and that I should come back the next day.I then went back on Thursday (6/15) after confirming that a vehicle was available. When picking up the vehicle I was told that it wasn't set up for Uber yet and that I would likely have to take it down to Massachusetts to switch it out.After calling the Mass. location and finding out that I would not be able to switch it out I returned the vehicle promptly the following morning (6/16) when the location opened. When asking if I owed anything I was told that I did not have a balance.This week I received a receipt for a daily charge for the not even 20 hours that I had the vehicle. I should not be charged for the vehicle since I was unable to use it for the purpose I rented it for which was to drive for Uber.I have since called this location multiple days to try and obtain a refund and have not received any calls back. Very disappointed that this is the way Hertz displays professionalism.After making multiple trips to Portland (40 miles each way) and then having to return the car because I couldn't use it for Uber, the least Hertz can do is refund the 20 hours.

The people that work here are absolutely lovely. They are incredibly helpful and helped make sure I was ok during an extremely hard time. This is the first time I can say I ENJOYED hanging out somewhere like this, and also had better service than literally anywhere (store, business, whatever) I’ve been (or talked to). You all are FABULOUS.

Hertz is a disaster, they put me on a do not rent list for no reason. wrecked my plans and never gave me an answer. There Bankruptcy has changed them. Use Avis as a better alternative.

Spent more than an hour here simply trying to pickup my car rental . I had booked my rental months in advance . In between my booking and pickup date , the credit card I used to pay in advance was closed and reissued due to fraud . So when I went to pickup the rental the credit card I used to pay for the rental did not match the same number of my new reissued card. So Hertz was trying to tell me they were going to have to do the reservation again . Only thing is, initially they were attempting to charge me an much higher price for the rental ! After a lot of complaining and calls to the corporate number they agreed to refund what I paid and then charge me again what I paid originally to the new card . Totally ridiculous. We almost missed our tour . Hertz customer service is terrible . You can't call a local office , you have to call the corporate number . You can't extend your car rental in person - you have to call the corporate number or do online . Their employees seem like they hate their job . I do not recommend Hertz .

Very disappointing experience.. Shawn, the manager, checked out our rental to us for 3 days. Upon returning the vehicle (which we returned cleaner than presented to us), they told me they'd send the invoice. Odd they didn't do it immediately. Once I received it, I noticed they charged 3 days of insurance for $75 upon declining (not only is it covered through my bank's program, it was booked on an AmEx). After multiple calls and having to point our their error, the manager assured a refund and follow up call. Neither he or Brian picked up my subsequent calls and did nothing to resolve the situation. I would hate for this to happen to anyone who is just trying to have a nice vacation.

Ask for a written receipt and check it before you leave the premises. In my case, a total over $80 more than on the rental agreement. "Oh! oops," and quickly fixed (no explanation), but only because I happened to see it and speak up.

Pricing compared to airport is a steal. Workers at the location are okay. The rep responsible for taking care of us was competent. He did have me a bit concerned for a second because he wasn't very focused, but to each their own... At the end of the day everything turned out fine. I wish this location stayed open a little longer though. Closing at 4 PM kinda sucks.

I will start this off by saying this review does not reflect Dakota or Drazelle at all, they are great to work with. Josh on the other hand was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant to even speak with. I will no longer even consider this location due to his lack of professionalism and respect for customers.
