Great place to stop in on First Friday Art Walk. They do it up right with music and wine, cheese, and munchies. Very festive. This shop and gallery has been a fixture on Congress Street for a very long time. Keep up the good work.

I was just wandering around and stumbled upon this store. I’m a big thrifter/lover of vintage things and this store was the JACKPOT.1) it was the Mary Poppin’s bag of stores—so much bigger inside then you’d guess from the outside, as there’s an entire underground level that’s I think larger than the main floor.2) what a quirky, cool, unique shop filled with new and old pieces that the owner/workers are clearly passionate about (mostly maps but also lots of eclectic vintage art work, framed and not), for very reasonable prices.3) I think it was the owner who helped me out but whoever he was he was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable and when I mentioned I was bummed I was traveling with only a carry on and couldn’t buy larger pieces he mentioned how cheap shipping is so in the end I bought almost half a dozen pieces. He took down my shipping info for me and shipped my pieces so quickly they were waiting for me when I got home (and shipping was only like 10 or 15 bucks for some pretty sizeable framed art pieces).10/10 one of the cooler stores I’ve stumbled upon in my travels and will absolutely be back!!

When living in NH we have always used a shop in Manchester to support small business. Always got top quality work and fair prices. After bring in three things to framed, shop owner gave a quote of $300. That's about $100 more than I would have expected. When I picked up the pictures I was told the price is now $700. Owner said $300 was an estimate, as we understood, but I would think they would've called when they realized the the price would be $400 more than the original quote. If you want accurate pricing, get the framer to give your estimate, not the owner.

Wow this place is cool. This place is way bigger than you would think, and there is even an art section that is setup like a mini museum. Really cool place, and lots of different map styles to look at. Highly recommend visiting.

Quality work but there's one guy who works here who is a complete j**** Maybe he shouldn't be the one to deal with customers if he can't at least pretend that he isn't having the worst day of his life and hates his job. I won't be back.

Was just walking around and randomly stumbled upon this place. Walked in and thoroughly enjoyed browsing the maps and artworks. I was captivated by one of the artwork there and purchased it to remind me of Portland. Wonderful little store if you want to find something unique.

I was on the hunt for a rare print and I called them at first asking if they were able to frame it framed if I could find a copy of it. Once I shared what I was looking for they stated they had the print in an absolutely stunning frame with museum glass. Perfect to keep its timeless value protected. I was amazed at all the art work they had. So excited to visit again to purchase more pieces.

If you love maps you've found your new favorite place. I could spend an unlimited amount of time here and they people are so nice. A great stop for history lovers. And they even have a cat♡ who was as awesome as the maps.

With perhaps the largest collection of historic maps in the Northeast, Mainely Frames and Gallery is a must visit place for historians, collectors, and antiquarians. The maps date back decades to hundreds of years and are well cared for and provided in sturdy and clear frames.
