Recently took out an auto loan with NBT after being matched with them with the financing department at a local dealership. I wish I would have done more research first before deciding to use their services. NBT online banking is one of the least user-friendly websites I've ever used. Not intuitive at all and feels cheap and outdated. Please take the time and spend the capital to catch your online banking up with modern standards.

Because of their poor banking, an incorrect late payment was posted to my credit report. 100% on time payments my whole life, and now I have to dispute this error. Can't get ahold of anyone at the bank or get an email response. Horrible web interface. I would take your business elsewhere!!

They have the most user-unfriendly web interface I've had to deal with in decades. Doing anything to manage your loan on their website is torture. In addition, I already have the impression they are stingy. Rather than use a modern system for bank account validation, they still utilize the antiquated method of depositing small amounts in your bank account and force you to validate the amounts. But get this, they deposit less than $1 and then immediately debit it back. That's right, they can collect 5% on your car loan, but they can't afford $0.73 for their bank validation method.

I have never met a more difficult bank to work with in my life. I have never been asked to give my full social on a recorded line for verification, because I didnt know my account number. Hello 21st century!! There's other ways to verify people. I set up security questions for a reason.

This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.

Worst automated phone system I have encountered in my 60 years. They make it absolutely impossible to reach a human being. If I ran my business this way, I'd be out of business pretty quickly. Truly pathetic.
