Needed a MacBook repair, the Genius Bar was booked for days. These guys took my machine, ran the diagnostics, did the work, and it was running like a damn cheetah.
Highest recommend.

these guys suck. waited 4 weeks for a “simple fix” and the computer was still broken. was charged nearly 100 for a fix that should’ve been free. super bummed to have chosen these guys. really regret the investment of time and money.

Needed a new fan for my two year old HP Envy. They were easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Making an appointment to bring it in was simple. Not even an hour after they'd received the new fan they ordered for it, they had replaced the old one and it was ready to go. My laptop runs just like new again! Really excellent service and I highly recommend them.

Both time I have dealt with the people at Necessary Technology I have been very pleased with their assistance. About 2 weeks ago I brought them my gaming PC because after and update the monitors weren't responding. I brought it in and they looked it over and stress tested it to find nothing software side wrong. So I went and picked it up at no charge since they found nothing. 24 hours after getting it home it did the same thing. I brought it back to them and after a few days they were able to find that the wire that ran from the GPU adapter to the motherboard was going. They order the new part now I am just waiting for the repairs to be done so I can pick it up. Thanks to Necessary Technology I didnt have to get ahold of the makers of my PC and send it back to them, which would have taken way longer.

Amazing service! Been here twice—the first time they replaced my ruined battery on my Mac. But the second, most recent time is what lead me to review them. I was on a time crunch where I needed my Mac repaired in one work week and they followed through! Could not recommend them enough.

Just excellent. I’m somewhat IT savvy but not to ‘that’ extent. My kid got his pre-built Gaming PC all infected with viruses and bots resulting in BSOD. Couldn’t figure it out so took it to the friendly folks over at Necessary Technology. They did a fresh install as well as remedied the poor case ventilation by installing a better CPU cooler and case fan. Very quick turnaround for a very reasonable price. Would return there for future similar problems and certainly recommend. Note that the back entrance to their parking lot (Durham Street) is a one way street. Thanks, Necessary Technology, my gamer is very happy again!

Our PC would not boot following a power outage. We reached out to Necessary Technology to see what they thought. They said they would take a look, so we brought the unit to them. Much to our surprise, a day later they called with good news, problem solved! Their service was quick, fast and very honest. The price for the service was more than reasonable. We will think of them first if we ever need an another tech rescue!

My laptop had a glass of water spilt on it making the keyboard unusable; and my screen wouldn't work depending on the angle it was positioned in. They had my computer up and running in a few weeks and it still works great a few months later.

These guys saved my external hard drive! A major malfunction left 30+ years of photos a total loss. 3 days later and NT had them all saved and moved to a new drive. Can’t say enough about them. I’ll also be adding a better backup drive to avoid this in the future ?
