The prices have gotten high for only average food in general, but that's not the reason for the one star. Today, after I paid, I noticed on the computer screen that a 6% surcharge is being added to all purchases, as an employee wellness fee. Again...this is a retail sandwich shop/convenience store! I've never even seen a 6% fee at a restaurant. It's so egregious, it's beyond belief. And it's not transparent. I bet 95% of customers don't even know they're paying this, especially the nearby school kids who are a sizable percentage of the clientele. I would recommend Anania's as a similar type of store nearby instead.

Best Maine Italian in Portland! The staff here are great. I’ve been impressed when they’ve had the kids after school too.

A slice of cheese pizza, a small bag of plain lays chips and a 16 oz seltzer water for 12 dollars. The pizza is worse than most frozen pizzas. Don't get robbed, go somewhere else!

One of my favorite places. Started going there, when I was like 17-18 . I still go there at age 61. I miss the old man. I believe Chris. They have great deserts homemade sweets. I love their Sunday pizza specials, just overall great food. My son said their meatballs dont taste the same or thinks they don't make them the same, that they changed or don't seem homemade. I don't know. I always get pizza or chicken or egg salad with bacon. I know products are high. Things gone up. If they keep making their chicken salad same way. I'll keep buying it.

I used to live just down the street from the store growing up and always loved the pizza. I also went to school with the owner whom I haven't seen in at least 40 years.Stop in the other day after many years and met the owners son, Steven. Brought back old memories and still love the pizza.

So many complaints about the "new normal" for food you get out so I'm not going to belabor the point. But I've been going to quality for over 15 years. Used to brag about their Italians. Today I get this for $10 some turkey on a hot dog bun. Quality? No more

38.00 for three Italians? 2 regular and one double turkey. 38.00? We were told it was because the "turkey is expensive". What? So, let's do some math...even if the turkey italian was an outrageous 15.00...that means the skimpy regular Italians were 11.50 each? My best guess is that the staff there had no clue how to ring up food and they are literally stealing from customers now. We've been going there for decades. Probably time to stop...

This review is based on my experience with an employee (owner?). It's the tall skinny dude with the really, really deep voice behind the phone and cash register. He's got to be the rudest person I've ever encountered. I've called a bunch of times and gotten him on the phone and he's just plain rude, I've gone in to order and he's been behind the register and just plain rude. He must be an owner or there's no way they'd keep him around with how he acts. It's a great shop with lots of potential and I hope it can make a turnaround with ownership.

Food was really good as was the service. Prices are comparable to other places in the area. There were plenty of yummy looking treats that I managed to abstain from buying and devouring, maybe next time.

Rude. They snatched an item out of my hand and aggressively said no that someone’s order even though it was clearly unmarked and displayed under the grab and go area

Quality Jewelers is the only place I shop for my jewelry! They’re a very special place to my family and we have gone to them for all of our jewelry needs for many years. From my diamonds to my pearls, they’ve always helped me find just the right stone. Ask for Catherine! She’s an amazing help each time I go in to shop or have my jewelry cleaned, which is one of my favorite services they provide!

The Quality Shop is a truly spectacular convenience store. Not only do they have a swell selection of beer, wine, chips, and soft drinks, but they serve an assortment of sandwiches and hot food. On Sundays you can get two small pizzas for $6.99 each!On Saturdays you can get a large Italian sub for $5.99. What more could you ask for?Oh, that's right. Everyone is so friendly. It's the perfect spot.8 out of 5 stars.
