I have not been in the Shaw's in a while and did not realize they did not have a redemption anymore. I filled up my cart with my glass the large ones. Walked through the floral department and the lady with the blonde hair with an updo. Looks me up and down and at my cart. I'm a clean person, I don't look homeless, and or do I look like a drug addict. I smiled awkwardly because of the way she was looking at me. I was then told by another employee after I asked when did they not have redemption anymore? Or is there another place that they have it now. She said they hadn't had it for a couple years and I was like well that makes sense cuz I haven't been here in a couple years. And I called the floral lady out. I said this is what's wrong with society people don't want to bother helping anybody. And her response was okay thank you have a good day. Now that was sucky customer service. And Laziness. I wasn't looking for an argument. I was looking for accountability

I swear every time I shop here I pay 10$ a bag more than anywhere else. Prices seem closer to Whole Foods than Walmart and hannys. At least Whole Foods is nice inside. Also all the “deals” require you to clip coupons and it feels like borderline false advertising. Do better on the prices because you are not competitive at all anymore. Shaws will work in a pinch but it’s not sustainable to shop there…..

I like how everything is so easy to find and there's always somebody there to help in case you can't I love how they take pride on how their store looks there's not always boxes in the aisles and people in the way

Love Shaw's .. Unbelievable customer service 2nd to none.. Quality is always on, or they make it right. If you want to save a bunch of money, I would highly recommend Shaws my mix and clip the deals and earn some free products or even cash off.

Wow…I placed an order at 5:20 PM for flowers to be delivered between 6-8 PM. You even sent me confirmation at 5:31 PM that the order was ready for delivery! Yet by 7:55 PM with no delivery in sight, I called your store only to be told “we don’t do deliveries” - which is odd considering I successfully ordered delivery from your exact store just 1 week ago. They also told
me flowers were sitting by one of the cashiers and went quiet afterward. I tried to solve this problem myself by arranging DoorDash to pick up the flowers or a new “order” but your staff claimed it “can’t be done” because of some vague “system error.” All you needed to do was place the flowers at customer service for pick up, I’m asking for a simple flower delivery, not moving the Statue of Liberty. The amount of excuses I received when I …myself….not the staff was attempting to solve the issue for your store is astounding. If your store can’t handle a basic flower delivery (which apparently your store doesn’t do, but did it a week ago) they should AT LEAST be able to put flowers purchased at the counter for a 3rd party, like door dash to do the delivery. We clearly have a much larger problem that needs addressing in your operation.

Visited the store several times while in portland. Good selection and prices given our induced inflationary times:)
Staff was friendly and asked me if I needed to find anything.
A great plus is they partner with other grocery chains nationwide, and my rewards number from thousands of miles away gets me the deals here too.

I have been coming to this Shaw to buy trash bags for 8 months without any issue, until today. My first time at Shaw was in Oct 2023 buying trash bags. I got in line at the self check out section, and later when it was my turn, 2 employees told me that there was no need to be in line at the self check out section to buy trash bags, I could just walk straight to the counter at the end and talk to the employee there. That is what I have been doing for the last 8 months, no issue whatsoever.
Today, as usual, around 11:20 am, I came to buy trash bags and proceeded to the SAME COUNTER that I have been going to for the past 8 months to ask for trash bags. To my surprise, the lady working on this shift demanded that I return to get in line. Surprised, I told her that Shaw employees told me that there was no need to get in line at the self checkout section to get trash bags. She yelled at me saying that “you can’t cut in line, you have to get back in line!” it was extremely insulting that she accused me of trying to cut in line when I was following Shaw’s employees instruction for the past 8 months. She even went further to say that the other employees should not have told me that?!? So I was lied to for 8 months? Either that, or she just made some stuff up. She also gave me a bag of trash bags that seemed to have been torn out and opened previously, I didn’t even notice after I left the store.
It seems to me that 1) Shaw needs to train their employees to respect customers, 2) implement the same procedures so that they don’t confuse customers.
The experience and encounter that I had today with this employee made me extremely uncomfortable and confused.

Store is not very clean, certainly not well maintained. They refuse to staff the registers, self checkout only. Very rude staff! Clearly they don't want my business, just zero customer service.
